Fact-Checking: TMNT 1987 Pilot?

Alright, so I came across this on TMNTPedia this morning... apparently it has been sitting there under my nose since 2012.

http://turtlepedia.wikia.com/wiki/Te...Pilot_Episode)

Now I may be super forgetful, but I imagine that if I'd heard of something like this I would remember it. Nobody seems to have any information on the web, else my Google skills are failing.

So tell me plainly:

If such a thing does exist, please point me in a direction to where I can get the information to fill this article in better. If it's verifiable that it's bunk, my finger's hovering over the Delete button.

Thanks!

I've never heard of this before, I seriously doubt it exists.

This is new to me, so I can't say if it's fake or not. Interesting.

Can you check who edited the page?

It's had multiple editors over the years, some of which are inactive.

Damn. Besides, since no one besides staff would've seen this, it's probably fake.

Yeah I'm almost entirely sure it is, myself. I just didn't want to nuke it if I were wrong.

What debunks it is Punk Frogs and Baxter the Fly as mutants being mentioned and this was pre-Season 1, I doubt those characters had been created in 86. Nice fan-fic synopsis though, wouldn've been an awesome episode. I guess if there really were any doubts someone could just ask the OT VAs about it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1987 Pilot Episode
The TMNT 1987 Series pilot Episode was Filmed in 1986.
Plot
The Shredder thinks that the many of his mutation experiments have failed Bebop, Rocksteady, Punk Frogs, Baxter the Fly) and decides to test out his new mutants ( Scrag the Bat, George the Gecko and Dan the Dogman) and prove to be much more successful than his previous mutants and cause a lot of havoc for the Turtles, New York City and even the Shredder himself.
Cam Clarke and Townsend Coleman swapped voices in this episode as Cam Clarke voiced Michaelangelo and Towsend Coleman voiced Leonardo as a test in this Pilot.
This is the first (and only) time where Bebop and Rocksteady's Gang are used in Mutant form and appeared to be named this time.
This Pilot appears to take place in Season 2.

Complete & utter BS. The fact the mutants other than Scrag have names makes that quite clear, I'd say.

Looks like MarioLuigiGCFan made most of the summary of the "epsiode" also by saying it was filmed does that mean it was live action?

How can Shredder have so many mutants in the PILOT, unless they were going the He-Man route and just dropping the audience into the middle of the action leaving the introduction and origin stuff for later.

My guess is that if such a thing did exist, it would have been more of a "proof of concept" pilot, like the Kirby anime (just the example that comes to mind).

Doesn't the TMNT doc pretty much spell out how it all went down? 86 seems very early.

Even though this is old, I do remember one instance looking at this page and seeing some facts that COULD have happened. A pilot is possibly but this guy who made the page obviously got not much right. However he is right about one thing, I do remember an interview once with Townsend Coleman and Cam Clarke and they confirmed a "Pilot Test" but maybe not a full episode and they said that they actually voice the other turtle (Townsend voicing Leonardo and Cam voicing Michelangelo). I can't remember how long ago I saw this but if I looked deep into YouTube I might find it somewhere. Anyways, I remember that being on the actual page as well so the possibility of it's existence is not 100% out but 95% GONE.
