Groundhog Day: the TV series

Starring the guy who played Ned, reprising the part?

I think the idea is that a show can chronicle more cycles in the timeloop?

The idea of a Groundhog Day show I guess is doable in theory. I mean, he keeps going through the same day cycle over and over so they could have him attempting to do something different everyday and learn to live with it. Maybe not get as dark as the movie did at some points, like Bill Murray's character trying to kill himself...but I guess it's doable. Getting down to it, I'm surprised there hasn't been a show like this already, unless there already has.

At least the ending episode will be easy to write...the day actually changes over. They could shoot and write the series finale early. lol

Is this the same show I've been seeing advertised. It's about some woman that got caught in the time loop, but there's a guy that's been stuck in a time loop for so lon he pretty much got used to it while she's pretty much freaking out.

They're just going to show the same episode every week, aren't they?

Groundhog Day is one of my all time favorite movies, not just for Bill Murray's brilliance, but the concept itself. I love time loops & whatnot. This, though, nah, pass, don't do it. I'll humor it when there's a trailer but I'm not remotely optimistic.

I mean, IMO, movie did everything with this concept, at least, in this setting.
I feel, like trying to milk more out of it, will be just a meaningless retread.

I like timeloops very much, but I think when it comes to Groundhog Day everything was said by the movie.

Yeah, there's a germ of an idea there but they're really just milking the cow.

Unless creative, I could see a show like this getting a bit boring after a certain point. I did like the movie, though...not sure if I'd actually watch it, though. Like I said earlier, still surprised this wasn't tried like 20 something years ago...
