Am I the only one who LOVES the 4Kids theme song?

There seems to be a fan consensus that the show has a bad theme song. However, do you like the song or am I the only one?

Maybe its that I grew up with the 4Kids turtles which makes me really biased but eh, put your thoughts down below!

It's just OK. They really needed to do without the, "ONE TWO THREE FOUR" during the theme, the rest of it was alright.

I do love the 4Kids theme song as well. It's the best one, in my opinion. There's just something about it that makes it stand out for me.

"Love" is an extreme word, but I think the theme song is given a somewhat unfair treatment. The problem might be the lyrics, not exactly the best out there but the core music is perfectly fine, here it is with lyrics:

And here it is without:

It's perfectly fine, it's maybe not the catchiest thing ever but it's not generic or too mismatched.

And if it is the lyrics that suck, it's not like the FW or Nick themes have all that great lyrics to begin with, just a catchier tune. Be honest, are lines like "Leonardo leads, Donatello does Machines", "They're heroes in a half shell and they're green", "When the evil Shredder attacks
These turtle boys don't cut him no slack" any better? Or "The good guys win and the bad guys lose" for that matter?

I ABSOLUTELY love it. And I loved the second version during seasons four and five even more than the original that aired during the first three seasons.

I enjoyed it as a kid. The visual look of the opening was pretty cool.

You're not the only one bud!
It's a great and catchy intro song, MUCH better than the cringey Nick one.

This being the show I grew up with, I love the theme song. No idea where you got the idea people don't like it as much. It's not as iconic in pop culture as the OT's theme song that's for sure but it's certainly a good theme song.

Turtles count it off!

(4.) If all else fails then it's time to kick butt!

I think the song was decent. Definitely prefer the second version after Ch'rell was defeated. Lyrics were corny, but in terms of instrumentation, it's certainly one of the strongest.

My personal favorite though for some reason is Red Sky though.

Really? I remember way back in 2003-2004 when the show first came out one of the biggest things people hated was the 2k3 theme. I guess that opinion mellowed out over the years.

You can probably dig up old threads from this very forum seeing people complain about it.

You are right. Everyone I knew back in the day either hated the theme song or were just kinda 'meh' about it. But what can you expect? After the 80's theme, it had a very tough act to follow.
