Ideas for future TMNTs

If I'm to picture a new TMNT in the 2020s?

Things I want to change:
- Mikey to start maturing and not act like a kid anymore. Maybe have him be evil somehow.
- Kraang to be the first Shredder in the Sengoku or Edo period and later pass the title to his new disciple/apprentice Oroku Saki, while Hamato Yoshi serves the guardians. The Palpatine, Vader/Anakin & Obi-Wan of TMNT.
- Kraang killed the past lives of Hamato Yoshi, Tang Shen & the turtles. Eventually, he finds them reincarnated in the future.
- Bebop & Rocksteady as Purple Dragons mutated. Four mutant ninjas as Shredder's elite guard.
- No more scraps to build new tech. Sorcery & technology forgotten used by the turtles for their equipment. A few scraps to combine with sorcery for new weaponry.
- Karai & Miwa separated. Miwa as either Alopex or Venus De Milo (if anyone would be interested to bring her back).
- Slash as villain & anti-hero. Later forges the Mighty Mutanimals.

How do you picture that? Cause I so want something mature and Michelangelo needs to start growing and stop being an idiot!

Woah, Nelly, calm down! We haven't even begun the last TMNT cartoon on this decade yet. In theory, we won't know for sure about another one until at least 2021.

Well yeah. TMNT did come back in 2012 though.

I'd just take the position of Kevin Feige and say "look inside the books". Literally everything you need is right there.

Yeah, exactly. Why would we want to talk about a hypothetical cartoon, one that wouldn't even come out until after an upcoming one has concluded? This topic can really only serve as a "What you'd like in a catoon?" thread, of which you find countless others on this forum.

Adult Turtles with new stories in their young adult post-Shredder years. Is that so much to ask. They hardly even have to be all that different; full grown in size, more mature in behavior and looks. Still goofy brothers picking on each other off the clock, but as adult brothers would.

Whether they still live together or not may depend on the lair... If it's spacious like, say, the second 2003 lair then it would work.

I do wonder whether we will immediately get a new tmnt show after Rise or whether it will be a few years of dormancy?

Shredder could've done more than blow up the Channel Six building. I don't mean as far as murdering Splinter, but think of the possibilities if censors were not an issue.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

I doubt it will happen so quickly after. Nick may well be tired of it by then and have plenty of repeats from two series to go on for a long time.

Kinda hoping they would be handed off to sister channel at that point under the same owner after a few years.

Are you a time-traveler? Surely you're not just impatient.

Shouldn't you be buying stock in Google?

Not even a "future concept", but more personal.

But in the pattern of changing status quos, I've always wondered what it would look like...if Hamato Yoshi's death was an accident. What if within that storyline, the mutations of Splinter and the turtles were deliberate actions by the Utroms? What if something horrible happened between Yoshi and Saki that led to Splinter and the turtles going missing? And all the while Splinter adamantly believes Saki murdered Yoshi, though he missed a lot of crucial details because he was too busy saving his turtles from "the disaster"?

Not to say that Saki is a good person, but in IDW's desire to have "shades of grays" in its story, I would want to see a storyline that really, really goes for the grays.

Agreed that it's early to talk about the 'next' series but my thoughts are not so in the future. I would like to see an Animated TV movie or 2 running separate from the new show. 2018 is a new style for a younger audience, so it can be the current show and toy seller etc but could do they do animated movies separately? Course I'd love Ciro to get his green light but if not I would take something else with a more detailed design, GCI pref but I'll take a good quality 3D or 2D. Not likely though, I suppose if they don't stand to make money why would they.

They should make Star Wars out of Yoshi, Shredder and Kraang.

- Yoshi (Obi-Wan)
- Shredder/Saki (Anakin/Vader)
- Kraang (Palpatine/Sidious)
- Tang Shen (Padme)

As a kid I always assumed the futuristic Cyber Samurai TMNT Playmates figures were a part of some new cartoon that took place in the future. So that's what I want no matter how bad it may be.

What a time to be alive.

It's funny how these toys got both an episode in the show and a 5-issue arc in Archie.

I wonder why so much promotion?

I guess cyberpunk was considered cool by 1994–1995, so everyone tried to ride that wave.

Sorry that it felt early for ideas on a new TMNT.

Would having future ideas be better?

Bebop and Rocksteady

Bebop and Rocksteady can be the names for two human Purple Dragons.

I kinda want to see an incarnation where Splinter has done terrible stuff in the past but in the present try to make up for it by teaching the turtles to be better than him and try to become a better. Only for victems of his past to spring up and wanting retribution for his sins.
