Based on these preview episodes, any guesses for who will be in series 2? It us usually a smaller wave of 3-4. I am hoping Warren Stone can get packed in with someone, perhaps Hypno-Potamus? Also hoping to see Albearto and Repo Mantis, maybe even Todd(not to mention the other announced villains who we havent seen in action yet).

Great to see April getting elbow and knee joints. I think I might get all the four dudes, April and the van.

Yes, the articulation on April is well done. Best April articulation they done yet.

Here’s a set of pics that hopefully highlight this, actually very very done figure.

I'm glad they are taking the tooling on their female figures more seriously now. After many years of bad April figures, only towards the end of the 2012 line did things start to improve and now it looks like that will thankfully be continuing.

By the way, looks like street date for these in the USA is OCTOBER 1ST so be on the lookout and hopefully they will start popping up places earlier than that. I still have a full set of the basic figures ordered on amazon, just hope they drop the price on them before they ship, or I might have to make some changes.

Here’s a quick pic(s) of the set to arrive in October.

Definitely liking this range.
My original plan was to just bust these guys out of their packs, but then decided to just get two sets!! Visually (as Toys) these are really cool.
I do believe that most here are going to enjoy this range upon its release.

Thanks for all the awesome pics, DVD!

The figures really do look pretty awesome and while the April figure looks to have great articulation, I'm a bit bummed she doesn't have her cool glasses. Her retro signature glasses are the best and I'm bummed to see they are neither painted on or an accessory.

Update: After closer inspection, I can see they are on the top of her head. Kind of a shame that's how they are being included. I would rather have her wearing them.

How come Mikey is the only one whose belt doesn't match his bandana/bands?

I forgot we already had released pics here...confirms the "war paint" loss from the SDCC figs to the retail figs.

Yes, they are on top of her head.
Looks like they may have planned these as an accessory but they would have caused a choking problem.
Anyways, here’s a closer look:

So glad we're getting closer to the release of these! Figures look good and the show's not nearly as bad as some people on the web make it out to be.

Saw this at Meijer today, hard to imagine this space is going to be productless for two months.

This is exciting. Haven't watch the first episode yet but I still want to collect a set of the 4 Turtles, April and Splinter.

Hmm, these dont look TOO bad.... Might pick up April, and maybe some side characters, but no turtles this time around. Dont care much for their design, (especially Splinter), and have no interest in this incarnation in general- but if I see a few mutants or others that I can use, they might join my 2012, PD, and vintage figs.

You know what would be really nice? Since the designs and characters are so different in this series, it would be cool if Playmates slipped in some IDW figures in place of a few variants. They did the Mirage TMNT in the 2012 line so it’s not completely impossible (just extremely unlikely). It would allow them to put out more “classic” looking versions of all the main heroes and villains, be something fans have asked for and maybe attract back some of the collectors who aren’t planning on picking anything up as they don’t like the new show and/or designs.

Ya think we'll get Megabloks based on Rise? The styles are a perfect fit.
