Inhumans movie possibly canceled by Marvel Studios - Page 3

"I think Inhumans will happen for sure," he reveals. "I don’t know when. I think it’s happening on television. And I think as we get into Phase 4 as I’ve always said, it could happen as a movie. I think it would be super cool." Some may take that as confirmation that Inhumans will indeed happen, but Feige really doesn't seem sure, and it's rare that we see that sort of uncertainty from his. He doesn't even seem sure what's going on with Inhuman characters on the small screen, another worrying sign.

Yeah, The Inhumans are never making it into the MCU proper. Not if Feige says "will happen for sure", "happening on television", and "could happen as a movie." Put those together and it spells out:

Inhumans is on Agents of SHIELD and that's all you're ever getting.

This actually GREATLY interests me. It means that whoever's running this has a finite, concise story to tell. It's not going to be full of a bunch of filler and crap. AND I don't have to bother with "Agents of SHIELD." Four seasons strong and I still have about as much excitement for that show as I do for a colonoscopy.

So yeah... this will be the first ABC Marvel show I'm interested in.

Okay, if it's only 8 episodes, it'll probably just air during AOS's winter break next year like Agent Carter used to.

I was sure it was on the chopping block with the 10 o'clock slot, but hopefully not!

I see that they said it's not a "spinoff of SHIELD," but I really don't see how they can avoid it. There were no Inhumans active on Earth until the direct events that happened on-screen in Agents of SHIELD that triggered their chrysalis or whatever.

I mean, I guess they could just touch on it in dialogue or pretend everyone knows, but that's sort of a big deal.

That's kind of my reaction. No interest at all. Though I've said that before about MCU projects before I've checked them out.

And there's no way they don't crossover with Agents of SHIELD. Maybe not at first, but they'd be fools not to. But I guess this means no Vin Diesel as Thunderbolt dude anymore, huh?
