As for the Eastman sketch, I did not know more than a few would spend that lind of money in order to get the cover. I thought with the jump on point presented a slightly higher average would form not few hunderd of 17,000 readers buying up extra copies. Story quality has been something for both sides of fandom to appreciate so that should strengthen numbers in time.

Its usually hard to attract new readers who aren't already huge TMNT fans in some way. Most of those 16,000 a month sales come from already established TMNT fans from the 80's and 90's.
Also some people just check out the comic for a few issues and then drop it for whatever reason. That's just the way the comic industry works. |

So do we have the numbers for Issue #24? Hoping the series reaches 40,000 by the end of this saga!

Also keep in mind these sales don't count digital sales or international sales, if we include those, the numbers are much higher. Or the trade paperback sales, some people don't buy the single issues and just wait for the trades.
Bobby said they already have planned out to IDW TMNT #50, so I'm sure sales will be steady to there at least. The real milestone is if the series hits the big 100th issue....but that won't be for many years from now if it happens. |

The Nick comic is selling pretty well for what it is. Hopefully more kids who watch the cartoon get into it overtime.
It would help if IDW sold the Nick comic to stores where kids generally browse like Toys R Us and so forth. I remember seeing a lot of kids DC and Marvel comics at Toys R Us. |

Would also help if they got through the distribution rights and actually sold it in the UK!

September numbers:
179. TMNT #26 - 17,321 copies 235. TMNT Micro series: Hun - 9,977 copies 251. TMNT NAA #3 - 8,744 copies Ignore the severe drop in rankings, DC went apesh*t with their villains month so each of their titles had up to 4 releases last month, plus 2D and 3D covers that got counted separately in sales. So we're pretty stable. Still one of IDW's top books, behind My Little Pony, as well as Powerpuff Girls strong start (did anyone read that? I'm thinking about picking it up). New Animated Adventures took a bit of a drop, so I'm slightly worried about that book. I expect the Micro to jump in sales with B&R coming up, as well as Shredder. |

You can bet most of the people buying that comic are adult men rather than little girls. One of lifes great mysteries. |

I buy MLP for my 7-year old daughter. We read it at bedtime and she loves it. I know of 2 other friends that do the same. Not all of us are weirdos.

I feel like the Bronies and all of that are somewhat similar to Jack Black fans. Where Jack Black is all about empty-headed facial expressions, mannerisms, and "look at how insanely clever I am at behaving stupidly!" so his fans, themselves, feel clever and "in on the joke," with My Little Pony it's pretty inherently feminine and insular to very young girls so I guess the draw to its 30 year old male fans is something like, "Look at me, look at me, I'm sitting here totally comfortable being a 30 year old man watching a show for 5 year old girls... bet you don't know what to think of me now, dontcha? Dontcha?"
But to the rest of us, the sound minded people... like with Jack Black, we get the joke just fine. In fact, we've always gotten it. We just don't find it funny at all.
