I agree rose and I can't believe how much they went for it makes me in shock that people would buy these yet they wont plop down money for the actual toy line or statues playmates brought out...nice that'll show playmates what they should be making real fast and good there....

as I said to you before thats pretty damn nice I like how the guy sculpted the head himself instead of using another toys head.
People who actully do sculpting on there customs score big points with me! Because it matches how the 2k3 turtles look? or cause thats what they have to use for a body lol |

I don't think I realized how frickin' huge the 2K3 designs were until I got used to the movie look and then reallyreally liked the movie look. Now it kinda bothers me when watching 2K3. These are my favorite customs ever, even though it's just new paint and weapons and belts:

Mirage, Next Mutation designs, 2k3, & FF yeah they're nice but they're pretty much just repaints. I'm also not a fan of the movie heads that and the larger size of the turtles making them as big if not bigger than characters that should be bigger than them bothers a stickler for size acurate figures like me. That why I passed on the new movie turtles I like my turtles shorter. You know btw it's so nice to be able to talk about things like adults even if we don't agree on things. |

The thing about Dooney though is that he's extremely flexible with his style.
Here's some of the movie figure design art, which while it doesn't have his signature on it I'm pretty sure comes from him. He can do lean Turtles, too.

No, I haven't asked him, but there are certain elements that strike me as Dooney-esque and he has a history of working with Playmates. It's just my hunch, though.
