Isn't this what comics are for? Lol. On a more serious note, but related to that exact point, IDW has done that to a degree, no? With the April and Casey, and Rocksteady and Bebop mini-series'?
I know that the A&C one was more to add to the Rat King story, but it was still a lot about them.
Mirage also did stand-alone Fugitoid and Casey stuff.
I suppose we've always had it to a point, but never to the extent you're talking about.
I wouldn't mind either way, but I don't know how much people would care.

The difference is that IDW hasn't attempted to make an ongoing spin-off. A bunch of limited series, sure, but none intended to go on indefinitely.

Which is why I said, "to a degree".
If we were to get any long running spin-offs at all, I'd like to see more about Krang, and the Neutrinos.
