Does any have any predictions on when this will be released? I know 2014, but when in 2014? My guess is around Christmas.

Man I was so happy when I saw Mega Man confirmed. My only other big wish is Little Mac.

When he made an appearance as an assist trophy in Brawl, it seemed (to me at least) that maybe they were prepping him for the next one. That and, Punch-out for Wii being the hit (no pun intended) it was, I think it's likely we'll see him debut as a fighter.

Since the last post, we've had three new characters confirmed: Peach, Sonic, and Toon Link.

I'm not necessarily surprised, but happy that Peach is confirmed, she's my favorite to play as.

Of the three, Sonic was the most surprising. I wondered if the third party characters would carry over or if they were "one and done." I'm glad to see he'll be returning.

I think all the characters from Brawl will return except maybe Lucas and Lucario.

Don't see the reason to axe anyone else.

There are a few I certainly wouldn't miss. I don't know if I've ever heard anyone say anything good about ROB, though I liked that Nintendo started trying to think outside the box.

While I'm not in favor of going super crazy with the roster, I think it would be a neat idea for Nintendo to continue to try to surprise us with something we really don't expect in terms of characters.

ROB wasn't my favorite, but what about like, I dunno, Captain N with his "Zapper" or even Nester, from the old days of Nintendo power. Maybe that sounds lame, but at least these are characters that are rooted in Nintendo tradition. Just a thought.

Rosalina and Luma, and Marth have joined the cast since our last post. I'm happy to see Rosalina join. I wondered if her appearance in the more recent Mario games was hyping fans up for this announcement. I know I'm excited! I'm happy to see that it looks like she's not a Peach "clone".

Rosalina has really shot up in popularity ever since her debut. She's the most popular new Mario character in recent memory. Look at how long it took people to accept Bowser Jr. after his debut in Mario Sunshine.

Although Rosalina being god-like and being female probably has to do with it. She's basically a better Peach.

After New Super Mario Bros. Wii came out and it showed Bowser Jr. alongside the Koopalings people didn't mind him as much.

One of the original reasons he was disliked is people thought Nintendo was going to forget about the Koopalings forever and just have Bowser Jr. always in their place. New Super Mario Bros on DS only having Bowser Jr. as well as both Galaxy games kind of cemented this.

I've seen many fans over at various gaming forums constantly want him for Smash for some reason. I'd rather Toad be playable over him to be honest.

I've come to like Bowser Jr. and I hated him. As far as Rosalina, I love Super Mario Galaxy and love that it's not forgotten however I never did like her a lot, mostly because she looks exactly like Peach but with a different hairdo, we also have too many Mario characters represented in SSBB. Not to mention that outside the first Galaxy she hasn't had a big role, sure she's playable in 3DW and Kart but her role got reduced in Galaxy 2. I might've actually preferred Waluigi or Bowser Jr for another Mario rep, even if they aren't girls, I'm guessing Rosalina only made it for that reason, the lack of females in the roster.

I was actually really bummed about the reveal, I just haven't gotten hyped at all for this SSB, and I don't know why, I loved Brawl unlike most but more of the same just doesn't make me excited. I was really hyped when watching the video because I thought Mario Kart would become "Mario Kart and the Nintendo All-Stars" when I saw Kirby. MK8 looks neat, I'm more hyped than MK Wii or 7 which I skipped but I still feel like it's just another MK, at least having Link and Samus would've made it more appealing. I'd rather have them than random somewhat popular Mario character #5. I hated the idea of other franchises in Mario Kart since it's called MK until I saw the trailer and I realized it didn't really matter and having Kirby there seemed fantastic.

This isn't Mario Kart, we don't need low-tier characters like Daisy and Walugi to be playable.
