Anyone that thinks these aren't going to go fast and skyrocket in price clearly is still bitter about Spirit of Splinter

Good thing neca is selling them via their old same bullsh*t tricks with no preorder, online for international customers on their site, and for the US we have to guess what time they will go up and hope that trash scalpers don?t ruin it for everybody

Maybe the scalpers will all be too busy eating Doritos and pizza rolls while drinking their mountain dews to mess it up for the rest of the real fans

I don?t expect them to be part of the Target or Wal-Mart lines but an SDCC or NYCC set, if this set sells well, why not? This seems like a test for how obscure they can go. If it sells out (which it almost certainly will) then I have to assume that anything is possible going forwards.
Playmates re-released the NM Leonardo figure as part of the History of Leonardo gift set. I would say this century is bound to have some NM collector items in it. I don?t know necessarily if we will see anything from NECA, but the release of NM will be celebrated in one way or another.

I never have collected NM stuff although the camouflaged ones were pretty.

TNM doesn't have enough "real" fans, if we ever get other figures it'd only be for curiosity and morbidness like a freak show for "collectors" who don't really like the show but want to have something "unique". Same reason COOS got these figures.

Yeah right! Aren't the bots programmed to snipe away product the moment the sets go up for sale? I saw a guy on ebay selling 40 sets of Casey/Raf, how does that happen at 2 per address?

It didn?t happen during the height of the fandom like the Shells Tour did and the disdain for that series is exceedingly high.

The original Playmates toyline was far more revolutionary than the NM toyline. The characters were hilarious to look at, very detailed (in some cases), and came packaged with fun weapons in great colors. It will go down in history as one of the last great boys toy lines. NM was an attempt to win over MMPR fans and it failed.

Saw this posted over on Reddit but figured I'd share it here, too. It's a story on the background of the OOTS concept/tour.
