TMNT 24/7 now Free on PlutoTV

I was browsing PlutoTV and noticed Turtles 4kids series was on. Did a double take on the channel name "Totally Turtles" ....hmmm that wasn't here before.

Looked it up and sure enough it's now a 24/7 channel doing nothing but Turtles. No idea what other series, movies, etc they plan to cover but damn I'll take that kind of news any day.

I've never heard of "Pluto TV" but apparently Viacom bought them earlier this year so... makes sense I guess? A whole channel of Turtles is pretty bizarre to think about, and even more so that they're playing nonstop 2K3.

Except it's free. I canceled cable many years ago. PlutoTV is just a channel on Roku I run it through. I'm sure it's on Firestick and what not. And the direct browser link is a option as well as shared in the post above me.

This is great. I’ll check it out.

Now I can only imagine the nostalgic joy I’ll have if they were to air the original toon like this.

Thanks for the notice. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the 2003 episode I just watched. Now to wait until 3 PM EST to see Leatherhead in 2012... XDD

Seriously, though, I do hope this accounts for more of the 2003 episodes than what I've seen on iTunes (only up to season 3).

I came back to the forum after years away to try getting pizza points for my daughter. But seeing posts like this makes me glad I'm staying for everything else, too. I've known about Pluto, but never watch it. But THIS, this is awesome. I can't wait to tell my daughter she can watch Turtles anytime!! Thank you so much for posting it was on there!!!

is it just me, or does the quality of the 4kids episodes look better than the 2012 show that was shot in HD widescreen?

I can only hope maybe the 4kids series might get a proper dvd release.

The 2012 episodes are compressed to 720p for streaming, when they were originally in a higher resolution. It also doesn't help that the 3D animation immediately dates itself. With the 2003 episodes, they are upscaled to 720p and were animated in an era that I think is the peak of 2D animation for television, thus the sharp lines and popping colors thanks to digital ink. 2D animation also fares better on HD displays simply because there isn't a lot going on in the picture detail wise.

I like it, I’ve just had the channel playing in the background the last couple days.

Yes! Now I can count all four Turtles again and again!

Seriously for those who can see the show go for it, who wouldn't?
