But yeah, if it's not, the threat of demutation would be an interesting one for the Turtles and Mutanimals to face

The notion of demutation and all the tremendously interesting possibilities it creates should be explored at some point, but I don't think this will be it just yet. Another relevant question is: does each merc pick an animal to temporarily mutate into beforehand according to personal preference like Bebop and Rocksteady did, or do they have an assortment of choices that adapt to a mission's shifting requirements as it unfolds? Can that one merc only mutate into a bear/wolf/whatever that is, or can he, say, mutate into an aquatic animal to gain the upper hand in a marine environment? Or maybe into a bird for aerial recon? A mutant Swiss army knife of sorts would be a tremendous asset. |

The Toad Baron has reignited my interest in the Pantheon storyline, but this whole war thing with the Turtles caught in the middle is really where it's at right now! It's like an even better version of the Saki/Krang feud back in the first 50 issues. |

Given Null only seems to appear in the mini's and Universe we may never see her interact with Bishop directly. Tom Waltz has never written Null himself since she's never appear in the main ongoing, so he probably is allowing her character to be handled by all the other writers.
Null has always been more of a villain of the Mutanimals than the Turtles, (in Archie Null is the one who flat out orders the assassination of all the Mutanimals), so I'd prefer if they were the ones to take her down in this universe. |

Honestly at this point, Hob and Stockman working together is a very distant memory, even ancient history by this time in the storyline. But still might be more likely than the other two options.

Regarding Null's possible appearance in the main ongoing, it's something that I don't particularly mind if it never comes to pass but it feels like we should never say never, either. And I agree that she is more of a Mutanimals big bad, but let's not forget that it was the Turtles (and Slash) who ultimately avenged their deaths in Archie. At the very least, I can see the bros popping in to help out the Mutanimals. It was enough of an uphill battle the first time around with only humans and robots to oppose them, and now she's got mutants of her own too...
And on that note, Hob and Stockman are pretty much this franchise's Vegeta and Frieza. There will always be backstory. There will always be animosity. But the Mutanimals are outgunned and undermanned in this war, they'll need allies. If Bishop comes around and realizes that weaponized mutants are the real threat, he will possibly forget about rounding up the ones who just want to be left alone (ie, the Turtles and Mutanimals) and crack down on Null instead. On the other hand, if his crusade intensifies, Null and Hob might just find common ground for a (temporary, mind you) alliance. It's just not as personal between them as it is with Bishop at this point. Then we have Stockman, who is for all intents and purposes currently aligned with the Turtles against Bishop but his picture is on the dictionary next to "Chronic backstabber", and he might be tempted to join up with either Bishop or Null instead. Greed and scientific curiosity might win out over pride. But who knows, really? These are all just ramblings, and the real stuff coming our way might just be even better! It's a real achievement for a comic to have built such a world, with such consistence and internal logic, that we can fill page after page with speculation over the tiniest fragment of new information while we wait for more. |

Seriously though, Hob's an anti-hero and an ally at this point. I can't see the Turtles ever pulling off an honest, stable alliance with Shredder or Krang if either of them comes back and they'd need that to qualify for Vegeta status. |
