Enjoyed the original as a kid and can get some enjoyment out of it still but lots of the episodes repeat and get old.
Very much enjoyed the 4kids series with exception to season 5 the Ninja Tribunal, some of the Fast forward stuff was fun and didn't mind it although I didn't like it as much as originally same with BTTS was alright had a few good episodes. I have watched some of the new show cant really get into it has a few episodes I have liked other things I just haven't liked like some of the character desgin for the enemies. I have almost picked up some dvds on occasion but I think I'd rather get a blu ray compilation. |

It is my dream in life to see a TMNT cartoon hit 200 episodes. The original toon came short at 193, the 4kids series at 156.
I think we can make it this time. |

I try to get into the NICK TMNT but I cant, at least my son loves it and I am happy with that. But the 4kids and Fred Wolf are the best in my opinion.

I enjoy the OT the most, I appreciate how the cartoon is humble enough to realize how outlandish the original TMNT concept is by breaking the fourth wall, thus removing a lot or all of any assumed pretentiousness with such a concept, and afterward it builds up its unique charm from there. All of the Turtles' characters are actually enjoyable to be around unlike how Raphael and Michelangelo are depicted in 2K3 and Nick where their personalities are taken to obnoxious/grating levels. The cartoon was able to transition through the light and dark tones rather seamlessly, but of course not every episode was good, yet for the most part the transitions were gradual. The comedy in the middle seasons was excessive at times, but at least with that comedy and lighter tone, the camaraderie atmosphere was more obvious between the Turtles rather than the more distant/aloof or melodrama interactions in some of the other series.
With 2K3, the storywriting and arcs were solid, but the melodrama kills the enjoyment of the series time and time again for me where these scenes become unintentionally laughable. In addition, it seemed to be heading toward excessive and unnecessary darker and darker storywriting, and I just didn't care for the whole Ninja Tribunal season. FF and BTTS were just too jolting of a change and they were "Meh..." With Nick, well... I enjoy the tone of how they are able to balance the light and dark subjects well, but the show's selective amnesia with its plotlines undermine the growth of many characters over and over again. There's a lot of potential in a few of their episodes (Baxter's Gambit, Follow The Leader, Slash and Destroy, The Gauntlet), but they never really follow through on those opportunities, and therefore I can only enjoy it on a very superficial level, as with their lukewarm loud humor (i.e. the caricature depiction of Nick Mikey). In addition, it still has yet to establish its own unique identity (after 40+ episodes) within the TMNT franchise after peeling away the numerous tributes of the OT, the 80s, other sci-fi/fantasy franchises, etc.; it's leaning too much on nostalgia. I like all 3, but I'm mostly attached to the 4kids.

4Kids is my favorite and I enjoy the Nick series as well. As for the original cartoon, I only liked about 10% of the episodes I've seen. I haven't watched the Red Sky seasons (maybe the one before that as well), but consensus seems to be that they're worse than the rest. I might try to continue it at some point, but I think I'd end up abandoning the OT again after too many uninteresting or repetitive episodes in a row.

4Kids only for me. It was my first exposure to the Turtles so it's going to hold a special place in my heart.
Never watched the original toon, so can't say anything about it. Nick cartoon I liked at first, but then slowly fell out of it and don't care for it anymore. |

I love all of them. There's no sense in me picking a favorite because it would probably take me decades to decide. Right now, I'm watching my 4kids DVDs and thinking about re-watching the OT again. Of course I'm watching the new Nick eps as they air and constantly re-watching those via my instant vid.

As I've said before, I'm more of a comic guy, but I adored all three of the Ninja Turtle cartoons, some more than others. Still, as it stands, I find all of them entertaining. As of now, the one on Nickelodeon may end up being my favorite, but all my heart and soul still belongs to the cartoon on 4Kids.

I liked the original cartoon, I absolutely loved the 4Kids series, and I am bored to death with the Nickelodeon series.

I grew up with the OT and 2k3 came out whilst I was in uni, the 2k3 series is my favourite but I really like the new nick toon for both comedy and action.

Grew up with the OT, so I'll always have a special place for it.
I like the Nickelodeon cartoon just a little bit more than 4kids (seasons 6 and 7. ick.), and, while Shredder and Krang bickering all the time and Bebop and Rocksteady always being unpredictable, that isn't enough to hold up a whole show, so I like the other two way more than the OT.
