Anyway are the ratings up yet for the first episode.
Yep
http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/article...7-20-2018.html

Rise of the TMNT 9:30PM
597,000 total viewers
0.14 Adults 18-49
0.17 Males 12-24
0.18 Females 12-24

And for comparison sake, this was the lead-in

Kids Choice Sports 9:00PM
738,000 total viewers
0.14 Adults 18-49
0.18 Males 12-24
0.24 Females 12-24

Also for comparison sake the Sunday afternoon decently promoted series finale in November of 2017 (when Nick was doing quite a bit better)

Wanted: Bebop & Rocksteady Special
962,000 total viewers
0.22 Adult 18-49
0.35 Females 12-24
0.24 Males 12-24

http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/article...1-12-2017.html

And that's an average of 3 episodes combined. Most episodes of the 5th season got around 1 million viewers.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ries)_episodes

I don't know how well Rise's sneak peek was advertised but it held over most of the 12-24 male viewers at least. Dunno about kids 6-11 though and that's the most important demographic.

I didn't like it.

Don't like the Ren & Stimpy art.

The choppy animation had me closing my eyes when it was heavy action. Can't handle it, it was the same with the Lego movie.

So far it looks like they replaced Sci-fi with magic and that's it. I hope they develope this more later on cause right now it's just magic green goo instead of scientific goo to create mutants.

And mutants seem to be out in the open and no one cares?

Don is the only one so far to have shown some actual character. He has his devices and he made the choice to keep his staff. The others are the same except when they decide to tell the viewer by mentioning random attributes. Like when "Michael" says he's the artist out of nowhere. Ralph got being a bit scared as a leader which is what Leo usually gets, and I don't even remember what was Leo's thing. He seems to just be there.

The repo ep and the robot episodes made no sense at all. I think the issue was because of the time these things are now. Where the hell did Don and Mike get all the things needed to make a park? Why did the robot get all sorts of special abilities? With more time we could get Don making more crazy upgrades to explain that.

If we only got the first episode I would still give it a bit of a chance but with the rest added I am not into this.

They need to develop this whole new world of magic. So far it just seems like a very blatant excuse to make different toys.

I've tried a couple more of the 11 minute episodes that are OnDemand, but I just can't get into this show. I do hope that it does well though. I don't want it to fail, and then Nickelodeon lets the property go dormant like some of my other favorites have gone in recent years.

This series surprised me and I'm actually enjoying it. I love that Leo is still showing leadership skills, and I'm pretty sure he is going to become leader somewhere down the track.

This series is different and good different, I'm excited for more

Is it really different, though, hypotheecally speaking?

IF you got rid of the stylized designs, the non stop in your face running off of one liners.....and got real voice actors..... wouldn't the plot for episode 1 work just as well in a 2k3 episode, introducing, say, foot mystics? so long as you got rid of the goofiness of needing to carry the animal you want to change into.

Right?
Just change everything about it to something we've already seen and they're totally the same thing!

LOL, what on earth are you talking about?

"Got real voice actors?" So the Turtles don't sound like real voices to you, because you sound to me like you're trolling too hard now.

Just had a bit of a realization regarding plot hints. With how the "spine breaking bandit" has been mentioned in more than 1 of the ep segments, it might be a way of setting up some event like idw #44 and with how donnie is soft shelled in this version, it seems even more likely.

I think it would be awesome if they did do a similar story to it mixed in with the plot. But honestly its hard to tell at this point and not really expecting anything close to it.

An injury in that event would have been a good way of showing him deciding to build the battle shell things he uses. Rather than just starting off the series with it.

It's kind of funny that people with shells and spines that couldn't be broken like a human's would avoid going after the one criminal in the news they'd be most suited to help out with.

Another of those journalist VR interviews.

In every episode (at least so far), Donnie was just ... adorkable.

He's so cute!

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

That VR conversation felt so much like a scene from Home Movies like Don was Brenden and Mikey was Jason.

I really want to see better quality versions of these designs:

http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/att...1&d=1533131783

The things they changes,

Raph, has no elbow pads, brown leg straps, looks smaller in size, different belt buckle.

Mikey, Brown feet wraps, no art design on kneepads, browngloves, white wrist tape, more spots, alot more paint spray artwork on his chest shell.

Don, white puches and knee/shin pads, brown gloves and elbow pads, white battle shell, longer bandana ties. WOODEN bo staff.

Leo, Bandan around his neck, metal looking wrist and shin guards, different belt (matches Raph), has vertical yellow stripes all over his legs and arms.

These designs are way better in my opinion, wish I was good at art work, I'd draw these myself

Is there a reason Nick wanted to skew this show towards a younger audience than the 2012 series? That show felt eye level with me and I'm 30, this feels younger in tone. Comedy seems to be at the forefront more than ever.

Found one of them

I also noticed that the Leonardo figure seems to be based on this design,

you can see the figure has the tapped wraps on his feet and wrists, they just painted them like the final design.

Must have molded the figures before their designs were 100% finalized.

I just realized this same guy is the voice for Leo in Rise.

My love for Leo has tripled now.

Amazon has the season pass up for $19.99. Would that be all 26 episodes? Do they release right after the show airs?

Was wondering... When it does officially premier on Sept. 17th, do you guys think they'll just start with the eps we've already seen or jump to into the next ones we haven't?

Definitely start from the first episode. I’m pretty sure they’re doing a mega marathon on the 17th
