It's probably gonna come off more like what would happen if the OT stuck to its guns in being funny but still having awesome fight scenes.

And "everyone" will hate it for that.
To be honest I can see it pulling a Fast Forward in terms of style. The show still having continuity and action scenes, but a bit lighter and funnier.

As long as the show has good stories and memorable characters, I won't mind what they do.

If it takes what made the FW and 4Kids work, then I'll be happy.

*waits for Andrew to say that nothing they did worked...*

*Andrew* -Nothing about those shows worked!!! They were an absolute insult to TMNT!-

Lol jk Andrew

But anyways I am hoping to see something like the pilot episodes of the OT. That had a really good balance of action and comedy.

Apparently Rob Paulsen talked about voicing Donatello at Wonder Con last Friday... can't find anything else right now though.

It's a lot funnier than Fast Forward.

You think they will show a commercial about a sneak peak for the show after the KCAs?

Maybe. Maybe now. I've scheduled my DVR to record it just in case.

I think it'll either be during the KCAs or afterwards. Either way, I'm tuning in to see it.

I just hope this show has a good continuity. One of the best parts of the 4kids series was the continuity, and how almost every plotline led to something later on, and then the backstory was constantly fleshed out with things from the past constantly returning.

When you watch the 4kids show from start to finish, you really get the sense that you're watching this huge overall story.

I want the Nick show to be like that too. With the original cartoon you can watch most of the episodes out of order and it doesn't make too much a difference besides where the Technodrome is located.

I wouldn't mind it if the continuity was real loose like in the OT. But I wouldn't mind a few 2 parters and such, either.
I quite like that the OT can be watched extremely freely thanks to its self contained episodes.

Time to add the confirmed writers to the first post.

In terms of continuity, I'd like it to be somewhere in between the OT and 4kids. Loose enough to draw in rookies who've missed some episodes by recycling certain elements (catch phrases, recurring characters, recurring settings), but have some multi-parters to create cliffhangers and worthwhile endings.

I feel like times have changed for most action cartoons. Nowadays its almost a mandate that all action cartoons have a sense of continuity.

It's like how you can watch Batman: TAS out of order, but then you can't do the same for Justice League or Young Justice.

And that can go very very VERY wrong.

Jump into a mid-season episode of the 90s X-men show and see how long into the "previously on X-men" you get before you lose all interest.
