I'm guessing that the 2014 Annual and the Turtles in Time mini-series take place after the current arc (Monsters, Misfits, and Madmen, #33-#36), possibly during issue #37, since the focus of that issue seems like its going to be Krang and Shredder meeting up (and likely plotting to sabotage each other )

I think
Spoiler:
they will share the Earth between them 50/50 or something like.

That would explain some of the things in Shredder micro.

I think Bobby said the annual and Turtles in Time was planned to fit between 32 and 33 (when the annual would have been released) but it's a little up in the air until the annual comes out and all the stories conclude.

I feel like the Turtles would mention their wild adventure through time at least once in passing to either Casey, April, or Angel at some point in issues #33, #34, #35 or #36. That's kind of the thing you share with your buddies

Yeah, and right now if just feels better to have TiT after the current arc. #33 flowed so well straight outta Northampton part 4/Utrom Empire #3. We'll see how the "Annual" looks though.

They should change it from "Annual" to "Biennial"

I was just wondering where Turtles in Time fits.

I've read everything so far, so should I know Renet? Because I don't!

Maybe it will make sense when the annual comes out?

The annual was supposed to come out first and it introduces Renet to the IDW universe. She originated in Mirage's TMNT vol. 1 #8 back in the day. Long story short, she has power over space and time but tends to be a bit klutzy in her duties sometimes.

That said, Turtles In Time #1 begins in media res, and the turtles are just as confused as the rest of us. They don't know how they got transported to prehistoric times either. It's not a direct continuation of the annual.

I don't think there's any official word yet on where the upcoming annual and Turtles In Time fits into the chronology. My hunch is both will slot in after #36 unless they retroactively slide the annual in before #33, which feels increasingly unlikely thanks to the annual's delays.

Bobby has said that due to it being a Time Travel story, the Turtles will arrive back home from their Time Travel Adventures within seconds of when they left, which essentially means it could fit anywhere.

However, all of the Turtle minis to date, even though they stand on their own, usually tie into the main ongoing in some way, and after just reading the preview for #2, I would say that since a certain thing hasn't been addressed on panel yet in the ongoing, I would guess the whole Turtles in Time thing will take place in the timeline in a future issue.

After reading In Time #2, it pretty much has to go after #36. Mainly due to Leo and Splinter's conversation about Tang Shen.

I'll pester Mr. Curnow after the annual comes out to get confirmation.

Does the next arc starting with #37 have a title anyone knows about or is it still continuing the "Monsters, Misfits and Madmen" storyline?

The solicits described it as a standalone issue. So it might be untitled, but I'd say it goes with the next arc. No word on the title of that though.

We haven't had any untitled issues yet. The one other standalone issue was just labeled as a prologue, so maybe this upcoming issue will be either an epilogue or prologue

The last arc mostly dealt with Casey's portion of the fallout from City Fall while setting up whatever's coming next for the overall mythos through a few semi-standalone stories. My guess is #37 sets up the whole Shredder/Krang thing going forward for the next year in another semi-standalone, then we're pretty much on the story arc express again until #50 (which I'm assuming will be the big event with the Technodrome). So yeah, it's probably a prelude to that like #21 was a prelude to City Fall.

According to Bobby the next arc is called "Territory".

I updated my timeline, though I still don't know where Turtles in Time is supposed to slot. I've got it sitting between "Monsters, Misfits and Madmen" and "Territory" for now, but it's always susceptible to change.

Yeah, i'd like people's input on this after the Annual comes out (next week, I believe!) as I may be missing something other eyes can catch, but I see the Annual taking place shortly before #33 (there's some references to the Turtles being newly returned to NYC), and Turtles in Time taking place at about the same time as #37. As #37 is all Shredder and Krang, that's an easy place to assign Turtles in Time happening.

How is the one-shot story called with Shredder/Krang? Territory: Prelude?

Hopefully we will have Annual 2014 this month so we will know when all the time traveling happens.
It's a funny thing: Time traveling and chronology, obviously you don't wanna go literally, and put the prehistoric issue before everything else.

So the Annual happens after 36, Right? Then TIT 1-2, then 37, then 3-4, right?

After reading the Annual, my chronology/bagging order for the past year goes:

Northhampton (#29-32)
Utrom Empire #1-3 (more or less coincides with #31-32)
Annual 2014 (bridges gap of return to NY)
Monsters, Misfits & Madmen (#33-36)
Turtles In Time #1-4 (more or less coincides with #37)
Territory (#37- )

I'd put it this way,

Annual
33-36+ Whatever happens at Harolds and Hob's in the upcoming issues
Then Turtles in Time when they return to the lair, with 37 in between.
