After someone has bought it what exactly can they do with it? Use it for new dentures? Impress Mr T by hanging it on your wall or around your neck?

Haha, the age-old question with expensive collectibles...what do you actually do with them? I suppose, store away, or display, to look at once in a while. And to hold for investment purposes..but I'm not sure if it can go much higher than $20k? Depends if TMNT stay relevant for decades to come.

If I paid 20k for it I would keep it until I’m 90 years old. Then donate to a museum if one wanted it. Or maybe my family could try and find a buyer through an auction.

It will be interesting to see the future of TMNT collectibles. I think TMNT comics and art will hold value way better than the toys, video games and other merch. I think comics and art can gain/keep collecting interest for reasons other than nostalgia. But toys and general merch not so much. I can imagine after kids from the 1970s—1990s are gone that there are going to be piles of worthless toys and video games.

I totally agree with all your points. I was speaking with a fellow turtle collector last night and I pose the questions as to who will be the next comic artist who's art work will be the most sought after by collectors in the the future.
