I definitely recognise her username but I believe we've never interacted.
A shame. 46 is rather young to die still. May she rest in peace. Sadly, in another forum I post on, a member died recently as well, and he was only 31 years old. I guess we never know how much time we have left. |

Just look through the archives of any of the TMNT sections, you'll notice half the usernames are from people who aren't around anymore. |

I'm sure most are doing just fine, and even if they aren't they're probably alive still. Statistical probabilities are on their side. But ofc, we'll never know in some cases. Especially when ti comes to users who were never that well-known here and didn't keep in touch with other users. |

Wow! So sad about Buslady! I guess she hadn't posted in a long time. I remember her talking about Raph and turtle anatomy a lot. She was cool. So sad.

Yeah, I wonder sometimes whatever happened to certain people. I think Andrew's the only person from back in 2003-ish that I still see around ever.

I remember her from when I first joined. So sad to hear she is gone. IIRC, she also did some really good fan art? I think she had a profile on DA, that I was a fan of.

Sorry to hear the news
Our interactions were limited but she always seemed sweet and courteous on the board. RIP. |

I've seen one or two other "old-timers" pop in recently. But still sorry that she is no longer with us. Had a few interactions with her when I first joined, and she always seemed nice.

When I joined this palce back in 2009 there were still several 2001-2004 left and people who joined around 2005-2008 as well.
Usually forums have trouble keeping veteran users around, but this one has done this rather well. This place is kind of like a small town/village compared to most other internet forums anyway, so I guess that's why. |

I'm from 2003, though I've never really been a frequent poster.
Sad to hear the news, I remember her both from here and the TMNT-L forums. She was a mega-fan for sure. |

Very sad to hear about Buslady. We never chatted really, but we ran into each other for an event or two. She was very passionate about very specific things, and clearly her friends and family were among those things. The number of fandom friends we have been losing is getting depressingly long.

There is one name I haven't heard in a very, very long time. Does anyone know if Kim "Leonardo" Garvin is still doing OK?

I imagine a lot of 30-40 year olds just moved on and lost interest in TMNT. Especially since many of them weren't even here long after the early 2000's when the Mirage and 4kids era was going on...let alone when the Nick/Viacom era began in the 2010's.
I mean I don't think people should start assuming everyone who left the fandom/forums dropped dead in real life. LOL, I left several forums I used to post on in the early 2000's, it's not like I'm not still around. |

There's only three major forums I frequently visit to this day...this place, Comicvine, and Rangerboard. Everywhere else I either got banned from or only post occasionally (like the Rajah wrestling forums)

Ah yes, I met Kim in person a few times, probably over 20 years ago, when I was an avid con-goer. I would see her working convention booths. I also haven't heard anything about her in a long, long while. Hopefully all is well.

Not sure if we should be drifting onto another subject about other missing members and members from the past in this thread which is meant to honour/mourn Buslady. Perhaps it'd be better for you guys to make a thread titled "Where are they now?" regarding old Drome users.
Just my two cents. |

Damn, RIP. I knew her from the video linked earlier in the thread. Sad to lose an OG member.
