[Question] Admins & Mods - Page 2

From what I've heard in whispers, this place finally broke Machias. Sad. Apparently she hasn't been around in a couple of years.

TMB actively hates this place. We're still friends on FB but we don't talk as much anymore because we have, shall we say, VERY different political and social views. But I wish him well, he was there for me during a few bad times so I hope he's doing alright in general. But he's never coming back either, he seems pretty well "done" with fandoms in general.

The problem is there's only like three people who'd be acceptable as Staff and none of them would ever want the hassle this place brings with it. And the rest are too "problematic".

I recognise the ThirdMarioBro username, but I don't believe I've ever interacted with him. Don't remember him being a mod at some point.

Well, that's understandable. The only people who'd be eager to become moderators are those who have never moderated an online community before. It's time consuming and makes one's participation less fun. I've been going on Internet forums in 2 decades now and I've always noticed that, once someone gets appointed as a mod, they start posting less and less.

All mods who haven't even logged on here in a year should be de-modded. It's obvious they're not coming back. And even if/when they do, they don't stick around for more than a few days before disappearing forever again.

It shows that this place is a relic of the ancient past when all the old guard are gone and the forums don't update with the times.

I remember a couple of pretty active mods around 2013-2014. One was named Venom and one whose name I forgot, but he had FW Raphael as his avatar. Haven't seen either user post in ages, so I'm guessing they no longer come to this place either?

Hey, I'm still around! Nowadays I mostly "prowl" the boards without posting much.

I will say, this place is better than the cesspool of facebook groups!!

I am just thankful that everyone is alive and accounted for during these troubling times. I took a long hiatus but I just had to come back. This is the best fan forum I have ever been a part of. I wish you all peace and safety.
