Actually I just saw that Ruffalo is back doing reshoots for Ragnarok now. They might have added something for Jane that they're filming now.

Eh, I'd be fine with never seeing her again. Ever. Pretend she didn't exist.

But what a waste. She was his doorway into humanity in the first one, and she joined him in his world in part 2, even got to meet "Mom and Dad"... jettisoning her without so much as a cameo in part 3 is unconscionable.

Lose her dopey friend and her antics, sure.

I'll take Darcy over Jane any day.

Maybe it was Portman, maybe it was the script... but both times, it was definitely Portman.

I liked her "dopey" friends. They were more entertaining. No Natalie Portman would suit me just fine. I didn't care for the character she played in the first film and it wouldn't bother me if she only had a cameo for the third or wasn't there at all. For the second film, every time she showed up I groaned.

I have no idea why I just don't care for her character.

Edit:

Still looking forward to the third installment regardless...even if I don't know the director and stuff.
My mistake. I knew I mentioned something like this before. lol

Kat Dennings can get it in so I'll take her fine ass over Natalie Portman.

So they basically gave Thor unfunny Guardians ''humor''. Yeah, good luck getting me in a theater for that the third time.

I'll probably go see it....but I'm not digging the tired Marvel humor and the Hulk redesign.

They made me dislike Spidey, hopefully they don't kill Hulk for me.

I'm totally burned out on the MCU, but I love Jeff Goldblum in anything and like what I saw from Hulk.

I'll see your 80s cheese and raise you a surrealist comedy skit.

Who knew that Thor would become the comedic tentpole of the MCU?

Anyone who saw the first movie?
I mean, the premise alone is ridiculous...

The whole fish out of water of being a viking god in modern times has long been used for light comic relief in depictions of Thor in various media so I don't think this is much of a stretch. If the actual ragnarok scenes are reasonably serious action sequences then I'll personally have zero problem with this.

Kinda bizarre that Marvel have made people just as-if not more hyped for Thor than WB has for Justice League. I've argued on here before that Marvel could make a better Superman movie based on the idea that they've sold an earnest, boy scout character in Captain America, all they'd need to do is add a bit of wry humour you'd get Superman which is what they've done with Thor here. It could also be taken as an example of how to do a character with a very similar power set. Watching this trailer I couldn't help but think of Superman's own gladiator story on Warworld. The possibilities DC could have with the character if they had not been set on full fulling their three decades old ambition of doing the Death of Superman.
