News Ninja

At last Artisan Entertainment is planing to release the original show on DVD in April 2004! However, it is unconfirmed whether it will be a box set or simply "The Epic Begins" (the first five episodes, without the nunchucks scenes and other cuts made for the europe release).

The official site has new information and pictures of the new Pogo Copter and Shell Sub toys.

LeSean is selling some of the original art from Dreamwave's TMNT series!

TMNT sunglasses: block the sun ninja style.

The company which made the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading card game will be releasing a TMNT trading card game in February, this year. Details.

An intresting article concerning the new show and some information on the progress of season 3.

Sorry 'bout the delay, computer troubles!

[Thanks to Michael Perez, tOkKa and Andreas Staab for the heads up!]

World wide, or just Europe?

I'm not sure... I think the Epic begins mini movie was primarely a European thing, maybe one of our European turtle fans could confirm this?

I'm from Denmark, and I've got one of these DVD's. 3 episodes on each. I've only got disc no. 6 out of 7. But a Swedish in here has got all of them maybe he knows.

EDIT

Well, here's mine. Just games, DVDs and a bunch of comics but atleast it's something

And yes, the seven dvds of the original toon is the swedish edition with three eps on each disc, except for the first one that is the edited five part epic begins. And the "the way of invisibility" dvd is also the swedish release (I just had to know how sh** the voice acting were) [/url]
I just don't hope, that they do the same thing with the ones which are getting released in April

I think that the epic begins was a Europe-only thing, mostly because words like ninja and nunchukus were forbidden to even think of over here at that time. Someone obviously thought there was too much violence in it too so that was toned down (and still it was the work of the devil that turned all the kids into bloodthirsty monsters, according to media, that is).

Since the edited versions of the five (?) episodes would be too short, they just edited them all into one long episode, mini movie or ot you that haven't seen it should be very happy since it just sucks bigtime. they basically edited away most of the story, mixed all five episodes toghether so that it made no sense at all and aired it that way (the whole Stockman/mouser story is just trashed).

Conclusion: the epic begins is the first season edited into one 67 minutes long episode and released for the european market (at least denmark/sweden/norwaay/finland and britain, Don't know about the rest)

Probably not, this time, they have been talking about the whole thing as five episodes. They have been talking about the epic begins as one episode before, which means the edited crap we got over here. But when they say five episodes, they must mean the five real episodes, otherwise they would have said one long episode
