Bellybomb
BellyBomb (Archie TMNT Adventures character)
Constructed and painted in 2 months 2014 This custom action figure was made by using a Marvel Legends large Doctor Octopus. The body was sanded down and drilled out in the areas I felt it was needed, I then sculpted him in parts as, and paint was applied to match the comics colors. I originally planned for his head/large eye to be moveable but it just wasn't in the cards as it proved to be too difficult. To get a better look and more information go to: http://vaughnmichael.blogspot.com/20...me-danger.html Belly Bomb is my newest Archie TMNT Adventures custom figure and I couldn't be more excited! I've wanted a toy of this guy ever since he graced the pages of the comics! What you see here is the unpainted sculpt of the figure I've been working on. The painted version will be posted very soon. He was made using a Marvel Legends Unleashed Doctor Octopus figure and lots of Super Sculpey. For more information including a step by step look at the process it took to make this figure please check out my blog! http://vaughnmichael.blogspot.com/20...raw-power.html Next week the fully painted figure! Thanks everyone Last edited by VaughnMichael; 05-04-2014 at 05:34 AM. |

Awesome Job! I always was afraid of that character. Too gruesome.

Yay for Archie characters! I'm actually about to start (or re-start) my Mutanimal custom figures...well slowly, including some of the enemies from the proposed Mutanimals cartoon series that never happened, and first up is Lynch (or Gunskull from the cartoon) but I'm not sure if I want to go with the green scheme from the comics, or the orange for the cartoon version...I'm leaning orange though because of the tons of green already present in the characters...

Awesome! Bellybomb's a character I've been wanting to do myself, but I can't figure out an articulation scheme that I'd like. Really looking forward to seeing how yours turns out!
(And re: the question... was there a blue Bellybomb? Did I miss that?)

Btw sorry he's not done yet everyone I hope to have him done in the next week. I've been having some issues with my back and neck. |

Ahhh -- I forgot about those blue Bellybombs! Well, now I know what color I'll paint mine if/when I ever get around to it.
Speaking of which -- hurry up and finish yours, Vaughn! ;D (Sorry to hear about your back and neck, though. Feel better, dude.)

I'm not very familiar with the character, but cool nonetheless.
