Funniest thing for me is Koya and Bludgeon spying on all the fun, and hating it. Well, Koya, at least... Bludgeon seemed really into it.

I love all the diversity in species this new status quo allows, there's a mutant mosquito and two different bats in the last page of the preview alone!

The main takeaway for me is the other members of Bebop and Rocksteady's gang that were mutated and seemingly demutated and dropped off the map.

That's usually because writers don't know what to do with a couple after they exhaust all the possibilities of mounting romantic tension and actually have them become an item, so they pile on the drama instead of making the two work together well and put them in interesting storylines. Imagination is pretty much a requisite for writing TMNT (or anything at all, but this franchise specifically) so we'll see how the IDW crew fares with Raph and Alopex. It's been a long time coming, hopefully if there's a breakup in the cards it'll take at least as long to get there as it took to see them kiss for the first time.

Man, Casey lost a lot of relevance after he broked up with April too, imagine if that happens to Alopex.

Both Casey and April did. While it may seem April is more active due to her involvement with Stockman and City Hall, she actually had about as much panel time and development as Casey did with taking over the Dragons and his daddy issues. With very few notable exceptions, Alopex has always pretty much just been there in the background and in fight scenes ever since she switched sides. Being promoted to Raph's S.O. can only be good for her.

Nah, Casey at least has all of the Hun / Purple Dragon drama to keep him relevant. And April has Stockman.

I'd argue they both lost a lot of PRESENCE, but not necessarily relevance.

True, at least IDW April isn't as irrelevant as Mirage April.

Mirage April was practically a sketch of a character. Eh? Get it?

The majority of the focus seems to be on Mutant Town which of course is going to exclude our humans characters a bit. Casey does pop up in the Jennika mini, not sure what direction their relationship is going to take going forward.

This is a weird thing to fixate on, but it appears that internet is indeed not working in Mutant Town, which I confess I had been wondering about.

Also, this was a fairly, what's the word I should use? 'Shippy' issue?

finished reading it. loved it, so happy to see so many back ground characters. thanks sophie for the flower bit with bea. i'm gonna have to get something done with mona and donnie down the road. i already can't wait for 106.

Was expecting a certain shark at the end there for just a moment, but this is just as intriguing.

Didn't enjoy it.

Felt like a whole issue's worth of epilogue, which really, I didn't need to see. Lotta shipping happening. Don't care. It felt like the Leonardo Macro issue in pacing, but that issue focused on the four Turtles. This one, not so much.

Also don't like Alopex, but that's nothing new. So nobody's gonna be surprised to hear that I don't wanna see her in a green bandana.

I think the biggest problem for me is that this whole story arc has felt drastically different than the first 100 issues. I get IDW wants a nice jumping on point for new readers, and I like some of the developments (the Turtles training other mutants, especially)... but this is a bit much.

Did enjoy seeing all the new mutants. I think my take on IDW going forward is going to be fairly schizophrenic. On the one hand, I like seeing all the new mutants. But on the other hand, I resent them. With the last couple of story arcs (City at War definitely included), the four Turtles have definitely moved farther back and gotten lost in their own story.

So to sum. I'm still reading, but I'm feeling a lot more sympathy to the people who have walked away from IDW TMNT.

Sorry, Sophie. I appreciate what you're doing, but it's not working for me.
