Caught these on Facebook from IDW's page, they're really really good interviews. Those folks know what kinda questions to ask.
EDIT: They just posted the Kevin Eastman one- http://multiversitycomics.com/interv...man-interview/

I find it funny that everyone keeps asking about Venus returning despite her being one of the most hated TMNT characters and considered the biggest jump the shark moment in TMNT history.
Seriously, with Next Mutation being canceled after only 1 season back in 1997 you would have thought Venus would fade away into obscurity. How do people even remember her that much? I feel like Venus has become the "Scrappy Doo" of the TMNT franchise. |

Nobody has the balls to reintroduce Venus in a new series. And no, Tom, that's not a challenge.

I must admit, I had to Google them both. Talk about obscure! Get that deep with Mirage characters and I'll be super impressed!

Archie characters have a lot of untapped potential, particularly Armaggon or Null. Or Verminator-X, assuming Old Hob doesn't turn into him down the line.

S'truth. Maligna, Null and the Stump Intergalactic Wrestling crew are my biggest remaining wanna-sees in the IDW universe. I'm happy to hear Tom list off some of the Mutanimals among his picks... not surprising, I suppose, since there's been plenty of little TMNTA nods.

Krang's IDW version also shares a lot with the Archie version. People who complained about his different origins/personality definitely forget about Archie... They made that change a long time ago.
I'm happy bout that Tom still considers Bishop as a character he'd like to introduce. I also hope that doesn't forget about if a 'Krang-invasion' happens, Bishop should definitely interfere. And I really hope that introducing Bishop will lead to introducing Razorback. |
