Grats on both the nice bonus and employee of the month!
Happy maker... Saw a clip of the old '78 Halloween special "Witch's Night Out" the other day and have vague memories of it. Was reading it got a bit of a cult following and even got a DVD release some years ago. Wouldn't you know it that I happened to spot a copy at Dollar Tree yesterday? And has a whole bunch of other old spooky themed cartoons episodes (such as a few Casper and a ghost themed Popeye ep) as well. |

The results of my COVID test from Saturday came this morning, and I'm free of the virus. I was experiencing a couple of possible symptoms, and even though they've both subsided for the most part, it's nice to know that they're not on account of COVID.

Something I ordered came several days early and I'm altogether pretty happy with it!
Spoiler:
Time to begin my second career, maybe? This isn't Springwood... but EVERY town has an Elm Street!

Got our ballots dropped off at an official box today.
Kind of miss the idea of participating at our polling place on election day, but as we are not one of those states with early voting and only get the one day to do it, and for the first time ever we're allowed to do mail-in because of that virus... yeah, probably just best to go this route this time. That will also allow me to just go do my job as normal on election day, so that's a plus. |

Love that glove, Leo! Little concerned by the prospect of your "second career", though. We all know that people tend to take a dim view of that particular hobby, and how the LAST guy who had that hobby ended up!
Indigo, your state doesn't allow early voting? That's nuts! Why would they not have options for people who can't get to the booth on election day? Especially NOW, of all times??!!

Nope, just the one day. You either get there or...oh well, I guess. Supposedly we might finally get early voting in a couple of years. Not helpful for this year, but at least we're temporarily getting the mail-in option for the first time ever.
Happy maker... Not gotten the fabric part done yet, but the wire structure of the prop ghost I wanted to try to make is complete and turned out pretty well. She ended up being about my height, so around 5'4. Have enough of the wire leftover that I might try to make a half body one too that hangs up. Last edited by IndigoErth; 10-17-2020 at 04:58 PM. |

Heard today that they finally caught the guy who stole our truck back in August! Caught up to him in a neighboring state (PA), and is a known thief, not only of vehicles, but also has a history of breaking into homes and robbing people. Still very grateful our truck turned up. Doubtful the things he stole from out of the truck will be seen again, but I guess we're lucky he didn't also break into the house and load the back of it up first.

Yeah, seriously. Boil him in oil.
I can't abide thieves.

I finished a painting I've been working on for the last few days, and it may altogether be my best one yet. Please check it out in the Art section!
EDIT: Someone on Facebook really liked my painting, and they reached out to me to discuss a commission project. We're gonna talk more about it, but if it happens, that's pretty neat!

There was a family of five goats hanging out by the back fence this afternoon. One of 'em was rather large. The dog came out to make friends but the big guy got scared and ran off.
They were out there for a long time, too. Pretty neat! Spoiler:
Spoiler:
I also got some video games and He-Man figures in the mail today. Sweet! My buddy's video review of the Nightmare On Elm Street remake went up today as well, and he had me film a fun pop-in cameo for it. I'll post that in the YouTube video section, please check it out! It came out great!

Not sure if "happy", but a strange thing happened early this morning on the way to work. I saw a white rabbit, just sitting by the side of the road, in the middle of town. Not just a rabbit, but a WHITE one! He watched me as I walked by, and barely even twitched an ear. What is strange is that there aren't any houses with rabbit hutches in the neighborhood, as far as I know. But there he was, and during a full moon, no less!

Oh hey, I had to get a bootleg charger for the pad myself a little while back. The one that came with the unit technically still works but the wire covering has torn open at the base, it's probably a fire hazard and I'm not comfortable using it.

I had hoped to have a chance to catch our neighbor and his sister (former neighbor) and hug them goodbye (because who knows if I'll ever really see them again or hardly ever) before the house is cleaned out (he has to be out of there today), and luckily we were able to go over there and catch up for a bit last night.
Even if we all grew up and weren't really close anymore, we'd still known each other for pretty much forever and quite literally half a lifetime. Like saying goodbye to family, and just feels wrong that someone else will be living there... And these days you can't help but worry about what kind of people are moving in and plead with the universe that it will be someone tolerable. Wish our neighbor could have just stayed in that house, and he would have...had their mother (died last year) not done that stupid reverse mortgage thing, causing it now to be sold right out from under him. Just feels like closing the book on the first half of life, and with he and I both over 40 and his sister not that far from it herself... if most people live up to around 80 give or take, then I guess it pretty much really is crossing that line into a different second half. Lol I don't imbibe strange drinks from unknown sources..... Though going down a rabbit hole might have been preferable to the day I had. Was busy af all day, plus we had the usual brand of pre-holiday weekend idiots out and about, and to too it off, I ended up staying almost TWO HOURS late because we had a couple of afternoon crew not show up, so I had to keep working until they could get someone in. On a side-note, I looked up symbolism of my little furry visitor during my break, and apparently it means there is prosperity and new pathways coming my way, as well as being a lucky omen of love, mystical messages, and releasing fears. Hmm....

I'm officially back! Despite that this fact might now make some of you sick and miserable, This makes me "HAPPY TODAY"! Got this new laptop cpu and i'll have to delete bloatware and do a bunch of BS to make this Lenovo Ideapad 330 get to where I like it... BUT I'm back!Hello again to all my friends, comrades, those who just barely tolerate my one-of-a-kindness!
