I am reading The Flash Rebirth. Holy Crap Barry Allen is actually Likeable and not a whiny crybaby like he is in the CW Show. He also doesn't alter timelines like crazy either.

Really enjoying this comic seeing all the different characters that have been on the flash show.

It's a reread, but it's been so long since I originally read it that I'm curious to see how much the TV show got right.

Apparently I can be happier about the Mad Sweeney casting.

The 2003 Russian TV adaptation of The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky (subtitles count, right?)

Seriously, I'm switching between reading a book called 'Who Knows?' It's just about mysteries, some paranormal, some not but they're interesting either way.

I'm also dipping in and out of the British Journal of Psychiatry that I was able to get from a doctor (a great advantage of working in a hospital).

Interesting choice Plastron! As it happenes I am also rereading American Gods, and just started a reread of Stephen King's It yesterday after seeing the new movie. Already into chapter 5 (of the first Derry interlude after all the phone calls). I had forgotten a lot of the small details that made the book so great. Past the part where Henry carved his initial in Ben's stomach and chased him through the Barrens- the movie changed that scene a lot.

Started reading The ever after high/monster high crossover yesterday. It's pretty much an ever after high story with two characters of monster high in it, which isn't bad as Eah is superior in every way.

I love the series for how meta it gets. And in the book it cranks the dial up to 12. Its hilarious how it just breaks into a "choose your own adventure" book in the middle.

Mostly comics but I'm getting into "Guns, Germs and Steel" by Jared Diamond. My fiction mostly comes from comics lol. Image's "The Old Guard" is doing it for me. Anyone else reading some of the "Dark Knights Metal" event going on right now in DC?

Currently reading through volume 8 of My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong As I Expected.
It’s been constantly good. IMO it’s the best light novel series there is.

Bookwise, I'm rereading Book 3 in the Song of Ice and Fire series for fiction reading, and a book on the history of cults and religions in the historic cradle of civilization for nonfiction.

Uh, YEAH. I started a thread about because it was so cool. I don't regularly read DC but when I saw solicits for this series I was hooked. I decided I was gonna read the whole event, all the different tie-in issues in other series and it's been paying off so far. Most of Metal doesn't require knowledge of the current state of affairs in DC continuity, and any information about the status quo that surprised me was rare and I just rolled with it. I'm enjoying it and I hope we get a preview for the next two installments tomorrow, an issue of The Flash and a one-shot about a Batman from a dark alternate universe who went mad and decided to experiment on himself with the DNA of Doomsday to become more powerful after Doomsday killed Superman. Crazy stuff.

I just got an Usagi Yojimbo collection that I’m excited to begin. Currently reading a novel called ‘Wool’ by Hugh Howey. A good post-apocalyptic story that touches on the division among different groups of people. Very relatable to current events even though it takes place in the future.

I ordered the Walt Simonson Orion omnibus from Half Price Books (I've read the story already, but I am stocking up on Fourth World stories to prepare for the December re-release of the original Jack Kirby New Gods material).

Also reading All-Star Superman (much better than the movie) and a book called Men: Notes from an Ongoing Investigation by Laura Kipnis.

I am reading Bruce Campbell's Sequel Biography Hail to The Chin Further Confessions of a B Movie Actor. Its a great book so far. Once I finish that I will move on to my Daredevil comic.

Just finished Hail to The Chin Further Confessions of a B Movie Actor Bruce Campbell's Second book. It was a wonderful sequel to his first book. You get to learn about Bruce living in Oregon. He talks about Jack Of All Trades Burn Notice Bubba Ho Tep Ash Vs Evil Dead The Evil Dead Remake and other B Movie things. I highly Recommend it if you have read his first Autobiography. If you haven't read his first book get it read it than get his new one. 5 out of 5 Chins.

Thumbing through the second Kirby/Lee Fantastic Four Omnibus--Reed Richards and Sue Storm are getting married, the Inhumans show up, and that gets followed up by the first appearances of Galactus and the Silver Surfer.

Also picked up The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo from the library as I have been meaning to read it at some point.
