Yeah not so many Quarrymen episodes. Oh and ditch Matthew the little Omish boy, make Demona's plan make sense, and no...

LOL, I swear I was going "EGON PAX" for days... :p How NOT to write a script...
And Val Bettin did his voice, and all I hear is the Sultan from Aladdin... I dunno, I thought the Amish idea was good... something you wouldn't normally think of. I thought several of those concepts wouldn't have been so bad if they'd been written and animated better. Oh, and someone wrote a fanfic once based on the one where Alexander is kidnapped, making it into another one of Xanatos' manipulative plots; it was good! Some of the plots could have been fixed with a little rewriting. Oohhh well...

Thing was, the first two seasons were written for syndication, and played in the afternoon. The Goliath Chronicles was written for Saturday mornings for a specific network. They had to cater to different censors, and probably a different audience.

Plus Weisman left after "The Journey". A shame really some of them did have potential. Though it was such a horrible waste what they did with the clones.

And ahem Broadway goes to Hollywood? Yeah... that one... I think the highlight of that season was when that shlub Vinnie saved Goliath. Oh and also... Anyone think today's episode "The Real World Part 2" had elements of "Gargoyles" in it? Aska already mentioned Draco's line. Ultimate Ninja looking like a Fay. Hey makes you kind of think right? The Daimyo visited Earth centuries ago and inspired the Japanese people to create Bushido. It made me think maybe he was a rogue Fay that had a falling out with Oberon. Would be kind of cool.

LOL! I noticed the sorcery line.
I know we’re talking about the show, but has anyone read the comics? I thought they had some good ideas, and had a lot more freedom than the show. I once had a fic challenge for people to do stories based on the comic plot, but very few people did. |

I remember catching some of it on a website. Good lord! But what kind of steroids did they have Goliath on. He was HUGE. The Demona/Goliath clone (I'm sure a certain someone would get a kick out of the name) Venus seemed interesting enough.

Venus was actually a clone of Goliath and Elisa. But yeah, she had a serious Elektra complex going on...
Had to go back and check Avalon's archive's to be sure. |

Ooh hope the mods don't mind us bringing back this old thread. But I guess it's more convenient than making a new one. I just got my DVD yesterday from Amazon. Hoping to see some a couple hours. Especially...CITY OF STONE!

Heck yeah! Such beautiful storytelling. It provided the rest of the backstory to just WHY Demona hates humanity. And one of the most shocking scenes in that whole series. Whoa I can't tell you how it left me cold when I saw Demona killing those people in the same way they killed hers.
