Fraggle Rock - Season 1

SPoilers ahoy..

Well...

I didn't hate it. But I didn't love it either. It's Clear they are NOT going to mess up the Fraggle Rock legacy by SJW'ing the whole thing up right off the bat.

I mean, sure... we've got black gender swapped 'doc'. but at least the actor/character seems likeable, even though they wrongly dressed her in old man grandpa sweaters that further remind us of the character we miss.

Large Marve seems to have had gastric bypass, with a fat face, but thinner body. Something about Junior's face seems weirdly off, and they seem to have made him autistic, or dumbed him down to the point of brain dead. he doesn't seem like he'll be much of a character this time around.

But, on the up side. the show is SUPER bright and colorful. I'm glad they didn't darken it down any. the replacement voices, while jarring, arn't THAT jarring that they throw you off. best is probably Gobo and some of the doozers.

Speaking of which, flange, coterpin and others are there from the start of the show this time. spotted the story teller and worlds oldest fraggle (IIRC).

There's an even amount of things that I like, and don't like so far. for instance, I don't like the super sized fraggle hole. Sprocket could easily fit through that no problem. I do like that they eliminated the rods, and the fraggles move about freely now.

I also like that the trash heap has a real woman's voice, not jerry doing a frank oz/gypsy style thing.

So, all in all, I'll give this show a first season.
New songs are not impressing me much yet either. when they have to blatently have a character point out 'that's catchy', it probably isn't.
