The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies Of The Apocalypse. Should be brought for the title alone.

I've been reading a slew of mystery books lately interspersed with a bulky bio of Mao.

You're disgusting I picked up the new Richard Bachman book 'Blaze' yesterday, and am already nearing the 100 page mark... On top of that i'm still reading through my Frank Miller g.n's (Right now on 'That Yellow Bastard') - on the toilet reading, and the Stones book - on the bus reading... I normally wouldn't read so much at once, but they are all different genres and whatnot so it ain't so bad. If it was like three different graphic novels or a coula Stephen King books or something I wa trying to do at once, i'd be totally lost, but right now i'm kicking ass (and taking down names...)

I recently picked up the Gorillaz "autobiography" - Rise of the Ogre. Probably the most interesting book I have read in a good 8 years. The style of the writing is pretty clever, in something that resembles a script. And the characters can interact with the narrator, which I like. I always hated that ugly thing called a "fourth wall" anyway. If you get the chance, pick it up and read through a little bit. Some of the stuff is hilerious. Rly.
...Buy it. Now

Finished Harry Potter 1 last weekend, now working on Harry Potter 2. I dunno, I think this might be my least favorite of the lot, although it's certainly not bad at all.

Today I started listening to "Eldest" on audiobook. I also read "Double Helix" and "Code Orange", which are two Young Adult Fiction books that I will booktalk in an upcoming program (I read them while off the public desk). I read "On the Run- Chasing the Falconers" earlier this week.
I'm making a new Teen Blog post with various picks of the month for books/anime/websites. The website will be NinjaTurtles.com. |

Irish Girls are back in town - Various writers (all female though)
I usually prefer books by Sarra Manning, Carolyn Mackler, Jaclyn Moriarty or Sarah Dessen. And I obviously enjoyed Boyracers by Adam Spark. Of the two books I've read by Sarra Manning I've cried at the epilogue. Very bitter sweet endings.

I rarely read books and I have never posted in this thread before but I just finished a book that many of you probably already read months ago.
Just finished the novelization of TMNT. Read it all the way through in one sitting simply because I was so into it. The writing, I could tell, was geared toward a younger audience but since the movie has been out of theatres for awhile now, I just had to relive the adventure. I really liked reading the little details in the book that either I missed in the film, or that were just left out of the film and unique to the novel. Good book, interesting read.

Half-way through The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi. It is very interesting. I have been having such trouble putting it down at night!
