No idea. I believe it was a Comic-Con exclusive or something like that, limited to 500 copies.

Sure am glad I made this thread - had to wipe my pc again over the weekend, sneaky little bastards! Thankfully all viruses are gone, stinkers were hiding in the boot sectors.

In other news, since making this thread I've bought both Tales Collections (1988 & Treasury)! Got the original in the mail yesterday and the Treasury Edition is en route now.

Where'd ya get the Treasury edition—eBay or elsewhere? And might I ask for how much? I really wanna get that one someday, for the new frontispieces and short story.

From the way folks carry on about it, I'll be glad to tell you what I fetched it for: $15 bucks, shipping included!! Yeah, even Ms. Katie was agreeing that it's a rare book to find, and now I don't have to kick myself anymore for not getting it three years ago.

I found it on a guy's blog with some obscure searching with Google Advanced Searching. I began searching this past weekend and stumbled across the site. The dude describes his blog as a way for him to catalogue his collection but also keep it open for folks to negotiate/buy/trade items they wish to have. He put it up Wednesday, so honestly it was purely a stroke of luck.

Lol, not enough that's for sure!

I've thought about getting that Quadrilogy myself, even though I don't own a Blu-Ray player.

Yeah, the beanie's also one of the main draws for getting the pack, lol!

I posted the other day about a beanie I got as a "fashion combo" at Wal-Mart for $12 bucks. Let's see if I can find a pic somewhere...

*searches Google*

Here it is!

That's a neat little Blu-ray box set. The main draw for me are the film transfers, which all look really nice and filmic (barring the fourth movie, which is strictly digital of course, but looks great), but I like the extra goodies and the greasy pizza box case. :)

Welp, got my Treasury Edition in the mail yesterday! After deducting the cost of S&H, I paid $9.05 for the book.

The book is in great shape, the only damage being a small tear on the spine (which I suspect may have came from Mirage like that as my Soul's Winter trade has similar damage). What impressed me was the books still has that distinct smell that Mirage's books always had - even after 3 years!

I read through the frontispieces and skimmed the Savanti Romero story; the one thing I realized was I missed Murphy as a writer. Say what you will about his preachiness in TMNTA and such but the guy is a damn good writer! Even a scant few pages I really felt for old Don and even Jim's stylized artwork managed to capture the essence or Renet's sadness as she departed his time.

Curious thought that just hit me: wonder if Renet and the other time lords have something to do with the Hall of Lost Legends? Perhaps she is the one who saw to the Turtles induction to its hallowed walls.

Not what others consider "cameos", but to me Fire Sale, Mars Attacks Image, Phantasy Against Hunger, Samurai Penguin would count as cameos. Amazing Heroes was a comic magazine, like an early precursor to Wizard. The other stories either involve the Turtles or feature them on at least one page as part of the narrative.

Hey I dunno if you want to bother making this distinction, but the Turtlemania books were not published by Mirage, they were published by Metropolis Comics.

Oh, is that listed under Mirage books? I need to make a more general banner...

*Edit* - Moved. Thanks man, I didn't realize I had that under Mirage books.

NP, i mean you could kind of consider it a Mirage book, since all of the turtle content was provided by Mirage, they just didnt actively publish it.

Yeah I know, I think that was my thinking when I listed it there. That and the foggy delirium that sets in late at night after spending a few hours going through comics, websites, and Word, lol!

If you notice anything else that needs revising, let me know! I know I'm missing some of the RPG books, but I'm on the fence about listing the kids books and other Turtle stories like that. Story books should probably be relegated to their own thread since there were so many published throughout the years and the oncoming onslaught when Nick begins to pop their books out.

I like how I slide off onto different tangents.

Welsh Publishing's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Magazine-- of 13 published issues, 12 have a 4-6 page TMNT comic.

Aba... Laba.. Lob-Sters!

And a Q about the Tundra TMNTA collections:
Is the new coloring in these volumes a noticeable improvement or just new coloring? The recolored covers I found on flickr look great,
but wondering about the story pages versus the original comics. Opinions welcome.

Also: Can anyone tell me what the new pages in both the Tundra Volume One collections are?

TMNT Volume One - Tundra 1991
Reprints TMNTA #5-9 with a new 8-page intro and a new 2-page epilogue.

TMNT Collected Series Volume One - Tundra 1991
Reprints TMNTA #5-7 with a new 8-page intro.

My guess is that it's the same 8-page intro in both volumes? Is Some kind of origin recap? It's a comic and not a written introduction, right?
And the epilogue-- is it just some kind of capper off the end of TMNTA #9?
Same recoloring job in both, I assume?

...Would there be any reason to buy Collected Series Volume One if I picked up TMNT Volume One? Any difference other than the front cover?

Big thanks for any input!
