How many Triceratons survived the battle with the EPF and will be making the move to Burnow Island? Are we talking dozens? Hundreds? Thousands?

I don't think we're looking at too many at this point-- i'd say probably around 100, though reserve the right to keep that flexible!.

And how many did they start with? Say, an even 1000?

More of them left than the Utroms, at any rate. Thank you.

I'd say something like that at the start of Trial of Krang story arc.

I like to say they'd be roughly evenly matched.

At the very least, I could see about that number of adult Utroms - there should have been a few births since they came out of stasis.

So is the new Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic going to be in the same continuity as the show?

Having just read the preview for Universe #21, I gotta ask, will we see Tragg and Granitor again in that arc? Or any time soon?

TMNTU #21 was great! I especially liked how there were a few more details about the war sprinkled through.
In the conversation about growing vegetation for the Triceratons, I envisioned two solutions on my own . Part of which made me realize that it never came up on what the Utroms have been eating.
In my mind, they're pescetarians; they're obviously carnivores, but their options are pretty limited. So if they're able to somehow drag in fish and shellfish from outside of the island's cloud, some of the problem could be solved. The inedible parts could be used as fertilizer to go around the "we can't go there" route.
The other one is trickier, because I don't think they can get enough pipes down there unless they knock down a few of the disused buildings Krang's scientists are no longer in. Nor would they have the time, potentially.

I'm surprised Kleve didn't suggest using some of the surviving forest area; it's where things are growing successfully, and would go under an ulterior motive of making Leatherhead easier to track down.

But, Ma'riell's vertical agriculture idea is better

I did notice something, though.
Was Kleve supposed to be speaking in these last two panels? It looks like he was supposed to.

Is Kingdom of Rats a 4-parter or a 5-parter?

So Dark Horse is going to release a trade featuring the Usagi/TMNT crossovers. I'm wondering how IDW factors in here? I know Stan owns Usagi and can take the character to whichever publisher he feels like. But IDW does have license from Viacom to publish TMNT. Is IDW collaborating with Dark Horse in some way to make this happen or did Dark Horse just have to go to Viacom?

Bobby, hope I'm allowed to ask these:

1. Have you ever in your dreams considered asking someone like Grant Morrison, Gerard Way, or Frank Miller to write a story/short story for IDW TMNT? Is it just so clearly out of the question or possibly budget for you to have bothered considering it? I guess I'm being sort of specific while also asking generally. (Bill Sienkiewicz was sort of along these lines, in my mind, btw)

2. Do you know anything about the Mirage TMNT Cover-page collection hardcover that kept getting pushed back? To be clear, the book that was going to collect a bunch of the old school Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman covers into an oversized hardcover. I can't seem to find it online anymore and am wondering if it was cancelled.

3. Nate from IDW Limited recently came by to ask if there were any particular, future products we'd like to see. So I was just wondering, is there any type of special edition collection you've always wanted to see for IDW TMNT?

4. And just to throw you a curveball - What's one fact about IDW TMNT that would possibly surprise fans?

If you can't answer these, or need to come back to some later, I understand. Thanks for your time, once again!

Johnny

Shoot, I would buy the crap out of such a thing. Morrison can even be writing the Fred Wolf TMNT, I don't care, I'll buy 10 of them.

What? Like a deconstruction of the Fred Wolf cartoon?

Nope. Here's the script for those pages:

PANEL THREE
Kleve LEAPS up, onto Drel’s face.

3. KLEVE: No matter.

PANEL FOUR
Kleve is trying to SHOVE his tentacles into Drel’s eyes. Drel is reaching up, grabbing him, trying to get him off.

PANEL FIVE
Drel SLAMS his back against the door, trying to get Kleve off of him.
