TMNT 2017 Action Figures

Yeah, all of the Targets I been to in my area just have a few figures left on the pegs on clearance. A few Walmarts still have figures at the full price, but I'm just glad I picked up Muckman when I did because he's nowhere, anymore. Well, he's on Ebay but for super jacked up prices, lol

I hadn’t realized until today how many figures had been reissued in new paint apps.
Came across a Leo (battle shell), Usagi in Black , April in different shirt, a cool Casey with removable mask amongst others.

Definitely feeling out if the loop !! Haha !!

Usagi in black...? Like a regular figure and not the special Stan Sakai release? Casey with removable mask.. .that isn't the pack-in to the zambonie or whatever it was?

Just found the ninja sound Raph, Mikey and Leo. Lone the Leo face on that one.

5 of the figures I ordered arrive today. I’ve got another 10 arriving next week.

Nice feeling to have some Turtles on their way again!!

First batch arrived today.
Now all samurai Turtles are here, and, each has a unique Usagi.

Project time.
I mentioned before that after years of keeping my Turtles in their shells (packs), I started opening them up.
As well as creating tons (literaly) of space, it’s been a lot of fun.
Yesterday, I was grouping the Turtles into their ‘waves’ and I couldn’t find Spy Line Don. I thought that maybe he wasn’t released. He was: so where was he.??
Anyways, I found a storage container full of 2012 Turtles that I’d obviously not opened as they were still packaged. I’m getting to the project.
I opened up Spy Line Don, put all the bits together, and again noticed the detailing on the harnesses etc. so.. I’ve decided to add detailing to the paint apps . I saw some great paint ups on the neca exclusives pages, and figured I’d try it out myself,

First figure I’m going to add paint apps to is Muckman.
Detailing on the body is stunning. All the garbage, the frog, the bone protrusions !!! I think, painted up, he could be a stand out figure of the entire line.

I still love the Monster range, but I am keeping that lot packaged (for now) and on display in my office,

I will take progress shots of the paint up project which I indend to start tomorrow.
If, IF, it goes wrong for me, I’ll gave one of the art students do it.

Does the head from the monsters hunter Leo fit in the first wave normal Leonardo body?

Looks like my Wal-Mart has joined others in ditching the Turtles line. Literally just had Mutant XLs left and they were grouped with all of the other figures of similar size.

Bugs me something awful because I've never even seen singlecard Samurai Usagi, Monster Hunter Raph/Leo, or the Bebop and Rocksteady line anywhere yet.

@DVD did your black outfit Usagi come in a regular figure packaging?

Oh okay. Because the only release of that figure here was an extremely limited and expensive one exclusively from Sakai himself. I would not have been disappointed to get a regular release or even one loose.

All figures (except talking Don) are the new paint ups (Ok, cept TigerClaw),
April is the most obvious with a new shirt. The Ninja Shout figures all have the colored pads. I got an extra Don to retail a full set. He didn’t come in the new batch.
Rhazar is cool in the green. Casey with removable mask is neat.
I chickened out of the repaint of Muckman. I was about to start when my art teacher mate asked to do it coz he thought it was a cool project. He then said bluntly that he at least wouldn’t mess it up!!! I had to agree and left it with him. He said he’d have it completed by Friday!!

DVD, those repaints saw wide release here in the US already. They've been in stores since spring 2017. They've been discussed in this thread quite a bit and were shown at Toy Fair 2017.

SDCC 2017 Exclusive Usagi (blue kimono, painted weapons, extra heads and accessories, in display box)
Stan Sakai Web Shop Exclusive Usagi (black kimono, painted weapons, in display box, with optional Sakai artwork/signature)

But yeah, I checked some local Targets and Walmarts around me and there was no TMNT figures anywhere. The Muckman will become the new "Scratch" figure.

Yeah, with the range essentially finished, I’m catching up on these repainted figures to retain a complete collection of the 2012 figures.
That Muckman repaint is awesome. I was aiming for a paint app that modeled the prototype pics. I’ll srnd my mate the pic you linked to .... I can’t see him doing that in afternoon !! Haha!!
That said, we have some really tanented students who probably could.

I saw them as another fun throwback to the vintage line, don't mind them at all - in fact I kind of want to buy more of those figures just to have extra day-glo weapons!
