Favourite Non-Tmnt Superheroes

Who are your favourite heroes outside of Ninja Turtles? It can be anything from tv shows, movies, comics, video games etc.

My favourite super-hero of all time is:

Always standing up for Truth, Justice and the American Way! I've always admired Superman but his portrayal by Christopher Reeve is by far my favourite of all time. Superman 1 and 2 combined would have to be my favourite super-hero films of all time, never get tired of re-watching them.

Well for TV and Movie I gotta say
Spiderman
While I'm tired of the whole wimpy but smart brown haired boy with the hots for a red head(extra points for said boy has a blond hair bully) I do love the trials tribulations for Ole Pete

For comics its gotta be Invincible from Invincible, he is sort of similar to Spiderman but he does grow and his world changes with him instead of reverting to the status quo. Also dude can take a beating like I seen no one else take, Gon and Zoro look like wusses compared to Mark

You know its funny, whenever I am asked who my favorite superhero is I say Michelangelo. Yet the response is generically, "he is a hero, I mean the costumed ones form DC and Marvel".

Aside from Michelangelo especially the 1987 incarnation I would say Dick Grayson, specifically as one half of the Dynamic Duo.
Spoiler:

My favorite female comic character is Barbara Gordon especially as Batgirl.
Spoiler:

My favorite Marvel character and fourth favorite comic character would be Spider-Man.
Spoiler:

Fifth would be Raphael especially the 1987 incarnation.

An honorable mention goes to the greatest of all Green Laterns, Hal Jordan.

Mainly Batman, and his universe mainly. I mean I like the other DC and Marvel superheroes when I watch things from them, but I'm not a huge die-hard fan or anything.

I've also not picked up a single DC or Marvel comic in my entire life, so anything I know about them is just based on the cartoons and movies. I feel like you can't be a hardcore fan of superheroes if you don't read their comics, as that's the source material, but nobody has time to read 1000 DC or Marvel comics these days.

Just collecting TMNT comics is hard enough as it is, I can't even imagine DC/Marvel comics on top of that.

Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern (Stewart), the rest of the Justice League and Teen Titans, Static, Spider-Man 2099, Claremont's X-Men, Spider-Man, She-Hulk, Martha Washington (the Frank Miller character), Korra, Power Girl, the Knight Sabers, and Cybersix.

Also Jack Kirby's Fourth World characters, particularly Mister Miracle and Big Barda.

As far as comic heroes go, I'd have to say Spider-Man.

Otherwise, um.....Goku isn’t really a superhero so he doesn’t count...do Mazinger Z and Kouji count too....? What about Scott Pilgrim???
Hmm...

Oh! Izuku Midoriya’s definitely a hero! At least in training...At the point the manga’s at...

Huh.
Guess I’m just not that into that many heroes. Either that, or I just can’t think of any I really like apart from the TMNT.

I wouldn't really consider anime characters to be superheroes, even if they save the world like Goku from Dragonball, etc.

Japanese characters don't really go out looking for trouble or to save the world, the trouble usually comes to them. American superheroes actually go out on patrol to protect people even when nothing is going on.

The ones who wear capes & are literally called superheroes... are superheroes.

It can be hard to define a superhero though, I don't consider the TMNT superheroes for instance, for me a superhero is something more "traditional" and most modern heroes don't really fit those terms for me.

I don't know if I would consider Spawn a superhero for example, I guess he's an anti-hero but he has a cape? Are anti-heroes superheroes?

If it's just people who save the day does that make Super Mario a super hero?

What about the Power Rangers? They're just "heroes" to me but not "super" if that makes any sense.

I personally don't count The Doctor as a Superhero, personally.

But who does?

Darkwing Duck. And he's for sure one of my favorite Superheroes as a whole.

Agreeing on Freakazoid as well. And his noble ward HandMan

Me personally I consider a character to be a superhero if they fit with three criteria.

1.They have a costume and codename

2.They try very very hard not to kill

3.They go out of there way to stop crime.

Probably Superman, that being said, so far as new movies are going I like the Marvel ones more than Man of Steel and Superman vs Batman.

Agree with the first and third criteria. I’m not bothered by the second one, though.

My favourite superhero is Batman with Spiderman in 2nd place, though I’ve only mainly watched their cartoons or films.
