Does Eastman's view of the new movie help change your viewpoint?

Do you trust in Kevin Eastman's word that the new movie will be enjoyable? I'm curious to know what you guys' opinions are.

Not in the slightest. Kevin is just happy to be a part of things again, plus he's being paid. Of course he's gonna say nice things. But that aside, he's so passionate about his creation, the turtles, that seeing them in the limelight or re-imagined in any capacity seems to thrill him. Rightfully so, but still, he's far too objective with the property for my tastes. While I am a fan of The Next Mutation, and concepts for the never made 4th live action film, I realize others hate them, so y'all should remember he was the dude developing and backing these ideas.

Nope. Until I see images and a trailer, my opinion on this film stays the same.

Even a trailer could be highly deceptive, but I'm dying to see what the designs will be.

Maybe a little. That, and the fact that Scott Mendick and Galen Walker are still onboard as producers are pretty the only things really giving me hope.

I'd say they're there due to viacom honoring the contract they made with Pete, rather than being around for creative input.

Hell no. Eastman approved of Next Mutation, Venus, the bloodbath of Bodycount, and a host of other poorly received ideas. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the reason IDW was allowed to give the Turtles human origins.

Also white Shredder....yuck. I still feel nasty whenever I think of it.

Never really trusted Eastman's judgement on this stuff. He loves everything about TMNT, so there's nothing he's gonna bad mouth.

Not really, no. He seems to like anything that carries the Turtles brand, regardless of quality. I'm not so easy to please that I'll just like anything.

so Eastman likes anything TMNT related? XD

....not gonna lie if I made something and it made lots of cartoons/games/movies I'd be so flattered I'd probably just like it all. XD

also....I have a question....I heard Peter Laird is harder to please....is that true???

Considering Eastman actually thought Karai was Shredder's daughter in the original Mirage comics, (in Mirage they have no relation), which he himself created, I don't think he gets too concerned with what goes on in the franchise:

Well I assume hes biased which makes sense but regardless I think its really cliche that its "hip" to be so negative towards this movie just because its from Michael Bay (not directed).

Ive seen other posts about it on IMDb, general posts about upcoming movies not even TMNT boards, and people act like its guaranteed to be horrible.

I know about the leaked script and alien thing but thats not happening. Why is so hard to give it the benefit of the doubt that it'll at least be pretty good?

I bet if it was by someone else, even with the same script leak, people wouldn't be so hard on it. There would still concern but not to this extent imo.

While Bay's reputation will always have fan rage around, it's hardly his involvement that's spawning negativity. The casting alone is... something.

What Megan Fox and a white Shredder?

From what I can tell its supposed to be a bit of a reimagining, right? I mean a little. I really dont care if Shredder isnt asain. As long as you can tell who the character is supposed to be and is portrayed as a Shredder. I dont mind either way about Megan Fox.

Other than that whats wrong with the cast?

Not after Next Mutation.

IDW humans origin is unprecedentedly awesome and genius. You will deal.

It acknowledges the OT origin (of human form) and the 2k3/Mirage (of animal form), combining both in one universe.

I don't really have any problems with it, but the idea of the Turtles having any type of relation with humans did feel really weird at first. I remember back in 2011 people originally being worried that the Turtles mutated from humans instead of actual turtles.

That is a possibility, but I remember they were at the Turtle Power panel, so I assume they're still involved on some level.

Well aside from Megan Fox, are the other actors bad? I never watched them in any other movies.
