I think the same thing happened on Disney with one of its shows. Wander Over Yonder, I think?

I loved the hell out of the earlier Regular Show seasons and definitely want to watch the later seasons. Guess I'll have to find em online now.

Did anybody catch the recent episode Classic Titans where the villain Control Freak transported them into an olde timey version of their show, claiming that cartoons from the past were better, and then by the episode he admits that they aren't always inherently superior? Pretty funny

It's the stupid aspect of TTG when they get critisim, they go the extreme.

The last two episodes are two more winners in a great fourth season. Classic Titans forever has my love for the massive fake-out it did. I'm almost certain now that art at SDCC was part of the joke, hyping people up only to pull that.

Pizza-bot is the best new villain. I'm hoping for a team up with Santa, hello!

I'm not sure what the hell they do for a theatrical film, though. The shows style is generally suited to the format they chose. But then, they did a four parter this season and made it work, so who knows.

That's because it's not receiving low ratings. It had some of the best on the network pretty consistently for the past three seasons. Season four has taken a dip, but it's still on par with the rest of Cartoon Networks output and occasionally better (the Night Begins to Shine four parter had better ratings than anything I'm aware of on the station this year).

As much as I love the show, I can agree that it's on too much. I'd like some Steven Universe reruns and Regular show back on and whatnot.
I don't watch it on CN, thankfully. I usually stream with some friends through Skype. But any time I see CN on a TV, it does seem like the show is on a lot. I wonder if it sells a lot of merch or something. The show does get good ratings, or at least on par with the rest of the slate as of the fourth season, but what extra stuff they can sell off a show usually determines its real success, in their eyes at least.

I kind of love that about it. It's still amazing to me that they did a five episode week long string just to set up a joke at the expense of the people who complain about it.

53 years of Teen Titans and the first theatrical movie is a spoof... I don't hate TTG but it's still bizarre to think we're getting this before the DCEU Titans...

A TTG theatrical movie?!
This truly is the darkest timeline.

I hope it bombs.

This movie can't possibly be worse than the Teen Titans DTV movie that came out after the series ended.

I really need to watch through all of TTG, everything I've seen from it has been awesome.

So many animated shows have deserved to get a theatrical movie, this is not one of them. In fact this crappy show should have ended years ago.

I'm really curious how they're going to maintain the insanity of TTG in a much longer format.

Curious, and kind of excited.

I still don't know what they were thinking with Trouble in Tokyo. "Well, we've wanked off to Japanese anime tropes, visual gags and style, might as well send them there" I guess? Was it an executive decision?

Either way, it wasn't great.

The prior three seasons are on Hulu. Season four isn't, but that's because it hasn't wrapped yet. It'll be great when it is, though, because season four has been crazy good. Several of my favorite episodes in the shows run are from it.

WB's been so weird about big budget live action versions of their heroes that I don't find it that surprising. We only just got Wonder Woman this year and they've been making superhero films since 1978. A year shy of forty to break out of just Superman and Batman films. Further if you feel like counting the film for the '66 Batman TV series.

Will Arnett and Kristen Bell are in the cast

Also, the film will be called "Teen Titans Go! To The Movies"

It consistently blows my mind how much more popular Teen Titans Go became than the original 2003 Teen Titans, and that show was hugely popular too.

At this point the young kids of today have probably never seen the original series, and just know the characters from TTGo.

Great, Will Arnett is in this and now I have the idea in my head of Bojack Horseman sarcastically commenting on all their adventures and it won't leave my head.

Most, probably, but I've seen some posts from kids who were inspired to go look at the old one for more of these characters and enjoyed it, so it's not everyone.

What if he's the voice of Batman? I could picture Batman making some kind of appearance in a Teen Titans Go movie.
