I believe it was Tom W who posted on twitter not too long ago that the first issue was being sent to the printer.

The cover art has also changed (as expected). Same Eastman layout, though.

Can you link to the new cover? I'm seeing the same Eastman/Kuhn one everywhere.

Love it! Very interesting getting to see the different interpretations over Eastman's layout. Hope we get more opportunities to see the comparison. I'm more than happy with the new artists though.

You're overthinking.

If anything, it's Raphael because the Turtles wore intial belts in that dumb cartoon we all used to love.

See, that's not it either, but it's at least a lot closer to what Eastman's logic COULD be. But it's just a cool stylized R for Ronin.

A few months ago I derailed a whole social media thread when the original poster mistakenly asked "So, what do you think of the last robin?"

"But, just as they were growing beyond the 'kids version,' they often discovered the Mirage books, the role-playing games, that edgier universe... and they were sucked back in big time, and for life. The majority of these fans that want to be entertained by their favorite characters at their age level - 30-somethings - they want to see the TMNT in that Daredevil TV series universe. Well-written and with R-Rated action."

That's a good quote. Though with Robo-Foot... not sure if we're getting the "R-rated action"? I suspect the R-rated action will be relegated to violence not caused by the Turtle.

But... but but.... but everyone around HERE says that little kids are the bread and butter... and that the only way to keep things going is by aiming everything at 5-year olds... Didn't you hear? Didn't you hear that there's no point in aiming at 30-somethings???

People around here and on the FB page keep saying it... you mean to tell me it's not true....?

I wouldn't be surprised it Nick loosens up on the restrictions with this book. Why not? They are perfectly fine with publishing City at War and Bodycount.
