TMNT series dubbed into other languages

I'm creating a thread where we can talk about TMNT series dubbed into other languages. Which ones do you know? Which are good and bad? (English is not included here, it's the original, not a dub).

I remember having a VHS that contained 3 episodes of FW TMNT in Brazilian Portuguese. Leonardo's voice in particular was grating.

The episodes where of the Eye of Sarnoth saga, for the record. But I vaguely recall one of them being Return of the Shredder as well.

As for other dubs, well I've only heard their openings really. I think I've watched a couple of FW and 2k3 TMNT in German in order to practice my German. The 2k3 German dub was quite alright, iirc.

The intro for the Hungarian one is classic,

"They are really heartbreakers!"

Oh man the Hungarian opening sounds funny as hell. There's a laugh in it that sounds like it comes from an old witch.

I like the Japanese and Bulgarian OPs for the FW series. And also the French one. It has a long version even.

Spoiler:

No, I don't. But I remember seeing it some years ago on youtube. It also had some episodes of the FW series in Hungarian.

Apparently there's only TMNT stuff in Hungarian from the 2k3 series on YT these days.

That's a shame. I hope someone one day uploads the intro again.

I have not seen any tmnt show in another language, but I love the Japanese intro.

I would also like to watch the first season of the 80s show in Japanese someday, the Toei animation really adds that extra layer of authencity.

I don't know if tmnt has ever been dubbed in my native languages (Urdu and Hindi).

Shredder could've done more than blow up the Channel Six building. I don't mean as far as murdering Splinter, but think of the possibilities if censors were not an issue.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

Russian series had 2 dubs and one translation.

The thing is that when TMNT was first broadcasted in Russia, third channel have bought only Epic Begins and seasons 4-7. They never dubbed seasons 1-3 and they have started broadcasting show right from the season 4, after Epic Begins movie. Also they made two dubs - one for seasons 4-6 and another for the season 7.
Dub for seasons 4-6 was good, voices were appropriate, Krang sounded good.
Dub for season 7 was horrible and had all hallmarks of the bad dub - almost all voice actors were replaced and newcomers were much worse, sound quality also dropped - voices were much louder than music, which could have been only barely heard in the background.

Rights for the seasons 1-3 were bought in 1996 by fourth channel and instead of dub, they've opted to do a simple translation, so you could hear original voices in the background. Its actually was very very good. Voice actors made an outstanding job, especially with Krang. The same team of actors also translated seasons 8-9.

Season 10, as far as I know, was never broadcasted in Russia, at least in the end of the 90-s and beginning of 2000-s.

Title song was dubbed to Russian in seasons 4-7 and it was left in English for seasons without dub.

Mexican dub is pretty good, most Mexican Spanish dubs of cartoons from the 80s-90s were great. Since the 00s Latin American dubs are done in South America with mixed results. Castellan Spanish dubs are usually bad.

Wouldn't it be easier to just dub the series into Spanish once.

Why were so many intro scenes changed, not just those with nunchuks.

Good question. Probably introduces the characters better.
