I imagine that Mutants like Bebop and Rocksteady have normal human diets despite their respective animals being herbivorous.

I have a vague memory of Casey Jones using a bunch of baseball bats duck taped together as a weapon, anybody know what this was from? Not a clue. Could've been a scene in a comic or cartoon, maybe even just a single drawing from a Mirage staffer as a print or commission.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a 7 word title, kind of a mouthful for a kids' cartoon ain't it? If it adds a subtitle, it would contain twice as many words as its base title. And what if it stacks?

Can you imagine that on the screen? No kind of font in existence nor fancy logo could ever make that much text look good.

About the Spider Digger, was the more humanoid version one of the Diggers who was put down? I wonder what would happens if some aliens came down to the Mirage earth in the future and dug up the fossils of the TMNT... |

Given their real life (franchise) age, I think it's kind of fun to consider that the Turtles, if late '83 (or May of '84 if you prefer) had been their birth, they'd likely be nostalgic for some of the same things many of us are.
They'd probably, for example, would have also grown up watching Sesame Street when they were little. But for them... a show about a special fictional street somewhere in their own city where humans and non-humans happily coexist, and where four little mutant Turtles might have fit right in. What are the chances that Splinter had to explain to them, maybe a few times, that it wasn't real and they can't go find that special place that would have accepted them as is... edit: Of course, that now kind of makes me want just a one issue comic crossover where Sesame Street is real in their world and Big Bird and others who live there are in fact mutants. lol Maybe the Turtles can be kids in it, and they stumble across this place. And then later they wake up... Last edited by IndigoErth; 08-18-2018 at 06:01 PM. |

Definitely seems like a Mike dream.
Looking more and more at IDW Ch'rell, I only keep wondering how he got his scar. Sure, with Saki we got the story of how he got sword-ed in the face and Hob got his eye bitten out by Splinter, but for Ch'rell...that's no ordinary cut or even a bite. That covers nearly a quarter of his face, it takes on a pretty specific shape. Obviously, it's war wound, but it's just a question of what happened specifically.

IDW does pretty much always explain scars though.
Again, such as the cases of Saki and Hob.

Did anyone find that just a bit disappointing? I don't know, I was expecting it be from a fight but I suppose it would look bad if one of the brothers did it (seen as he had it before they went out into the world he'd have been fighting them, unless something got into the sewers at some point) Still, they addressed it.

I've long found it mildly interesting that Jim Lawson is the only Mirage regular besides Peter and Kevin to have a character he (co-)created appear in any of the TMNT movies... namely Karai.

That always bothered me cause I'd imagine it would get worse over time. Especially if people start targeting that area. I'm pretty sure Raph can't take a bat to the chest without making it worse.

What kind of rattrap would catch Splinter? I'm betting on a bowl of peanut oil.

Splinter would probably be too smart for a rat trap, so anyone wanting to capture him would have to think outside the box. "Kidnap the turtles" is a good one.

Splinter being more lazy and gluttonous in that show also would make it funnier.
