I'm really happy with how Slimer, the Firehouse, Ecto, the no ghost, the pack and traps, Winston and staypuft turned out. they look pretty darn close to their cartoon counterparts. Now, if I can JUST get Peter, Ray, Egon and Janine looking right it might look halfway decent.

if i could just refine it it might look good.
the streams are going to need to be ray traced but will be the toughest to get right |

a few more minor updates.
Egon still needs MAJOR work. I think the other three, slimer and everything else minus janine is a final. the intro is about 60% done and will try and make the next update the last update. just a simple matter of getting two characters to look better, 8 ghost designs, one effects shot, and some refining . |

happy to report ray tracing 40 frames of lightning animation turned out rather well. and looks much better than if i had used after effects.
now to try and get stay puft dissolving looking nice. then i can focus on the beam animation, and do the last thing that needs working on, the monsters and janine. |

Looks like you're making some good progress. The Zim Studios one is very cool, but some of their models seem off, like Stay Puft. I really like the lighting in theirs, though. Seems like a lot of time was put into it, which is probably why they were wanting donations. Most of us don't have the free time to do such an in-depth time-consuming project without compensation, so I commend you for that. As an animator myself, I'd love to do a project like this, but paid work is what pays the bills, unfortunately. Personal projects are the most fun, though. Nice work!

yeah, i am in a rather unique situation.
I like to think i'm an old soul, and this life is a reward for horrible past lives. only thing that makes sense at this point ;o). but it does allow me to have alot of free time to work on stuff that i would love to get paid to do.. but i'm honestly not good enough to do this at a pro level. my stuff barely qualifies as animatic level. |

As an artist I can tell you none of us ever think we're good enough. "Fake it till you make it" is a common phrase in the field. I've been an animator for over 15 years and I'm just starting to feel good enough. What gets you better is just keeping at it though, which is what you're doing. I can definitely see improvement in your stuff over the years. Keep it up.
