Pretty stupid point honestly especially since they pretty much pulled the scene from DoomsDay/ Dark Knight Part 2.

Civil War has its own crap load of problems, but I don't think "stakes" is the best one to pull.

Trailer was ok. Nothing really stood out, aside from the Aquaman joke thing, and that just had me rolling my eyes.

I find it hilarious that this is technically just the 3rd movie in the cinematic universe. Things will not go well with DC, that's for sure.

I really dug the trailer, it's odd seeing a JL trailer without Supes, but that's DCEU continuity.

Apocryphal. They should've swapped out Cyborg with Martian Manhunter for this. J'onn normally appears as a black dude when he's not in battle mode, and if they really want racial diversity I'm pretty sure a shape shifting alien from Mars on the team is more progressive than a normal human black guy with electronics. Probably in Snyder's eyes, though, Martian Manhunter is too close to Superman's power level and would make Superman less special on the team, and he's "not black enough."

Pretty much. I've never doubted he'd be in the film (I'm sure in DC's eyes, reintroducing him in their "Big" Justice League movie would help "redeem" him in people's eyes before dropping another risky Green Lantern movie), though I don't know how much he'd be. I would guess he'd appear in the last third of it, maybe last quarter.

Ironically they ignored GL after the "embarrassment" that it became with the critics and yet pretty much all their DCEU films have gotten the same treatment.

They should've just soft rebooted GL, it was a flawed film but it wasn't the worst thing ever, have Jon Stewart be the new GL with Hal doing other stuff and boom you have a black character without having to shoehorn Cyborg into the JL where he does seem like the token character. But no, I guess having the real Hal Jordan was too important to change for a better plan.

How will the pacing of this movie be? How will they send Bruce to Greenland or wherever to find Aquaman, then to Flash's house, then presumably to Cyborg's place, without it getting incredibly tedious? How can they cram in Thanagarians? Maybe I'm just not the visionary Zach Snyder is.
