Yeah, me too. What's wrong with just "Infinity War" with the Marvel logo above it? I kind of wish they'd have done that with Civil War, too.
Exactly, the Marvel brand is big enough for them to do it, they didn't need Captain America or Avengers here. I'm guessing it's more of a "how do we up the stakes in the solo movies that aren't Avengers.

The problem with Tony dying is he's still the most charismatic hero, they already did the sacrifice your life bit in the first Avengers movie, they already "retired" the character in the first movie of phase 2 with Iron Man 3.

They can use him less and even less guest appearances but why kill the most iconic character to the MCU, that got Disney to buy Marvel, and became an A-list hero because of his movies. A final Iron Man 4 would be a great send off, it's not like RDJ needs to do many stunts.

You do need to kill some heroes to up the stakes but the MCU has plenty by now why not another Avenger or Fury? If an actor wants out then just recast them a la 007, no need to "reboot" anything, superhero stories are timeless, I want new stories not re-starting every 10 years. But I guess "What should Marvel do after IW part 2/Phase 4 is another thread topic entirely.

Pretty cool teaser. It's pretty sad when Marvel is doing this well with their Cinematic Universe while DC can't even brake past $96 million.

Really great trailer, my only concern with the movie is the size of the cast, Its going to be really hard to give everyone a fair amount of screen time. I am really glad they broke this up into two movies.

The movies titled "Avengers" have made the most money, so it's really a no-brainer.

I loved this teaser! Had to watch it again, which I haven't done with any other teasers or trailers, unless they're shown before a movie in a theater. Seems like Thanos' forces invade the whole planet and the heroes have to fight them in different locations at the same time. This is one of the rare instances where I want the movie to be at least 3 hours long.

Around 15 major heroes and actors in the same movie...what could go wrong?

Well, Iron Man has had two attempts at sequels and both were bad. I don't know Iron Man deserves a third sequel to try and do any better... though I would be interested to see the payoff of the "All Hail the King" short and see the real Mandarin.

Could be it's being looked at wrong. Maybe Iron Man is not going to Bruce-Willis-in-Armageddon things... maybe Iron Man is going to Ben-Affleck-in-Armageddon it. Meaning, maybe he makes the choice to do some heroic sacrifice and after everyone says goodbye to him, at the last minute someone (Captain America?) takes his place and dies instead.

Didn't he already get another sequel, or...are we not counting Homecoming?

The number of Iron Man movies is too damn high!

Iron Man 1
Iron Man 2
Avengers 1
Iron Man 3
Avengers 2
Captain America 3
Spiderman Homecoming
Avengers 3
Avengers 4

What is that... freakin' NINE movies.

Robert Downey Jr. doesn't have to make any other movies ever again, he can just play Iron Man for the rest of his life.

But why would he want to?

Has anyone told RBJ that he actually ISN'T Tony Stark?
Because sometimes I worry.

I was pleasantly surprised by how little he was actually in Homecoming.

Is THAT why I still don't have a third RDJ Sherlock Holmes movie? Because RDJ's agent doesn't have the heart to tell him that he's NOT Tony Stark?

And why Rachel McAdams went with Doctor Strange.

Kevin Feige hates Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It all makes sense now!

He already has 3 decades of films dating back to the 80's before he became Iron Man. It's not like he doesn't already have a huge history.

He's basically reaching his waning years for actors anyway, where after he steps down from Iron Man he'll only be offered "old man roles" in films.

There was a period between the 80s, and when he got involved with Marvel, when was battling his alcoholism, the Marvel movies brought him back and made him legit.
