I strongly think of 2k3-era music when I read IDW.

When reading IDW I might hear the 2012 theme? I read the turtles and Casey with their 2012 voices.
But for characters like April, Bishop, and Karai I read them with their 2k3 voices. When I read Archie I hear the 1987 voices, naturally. Mirage I read everyone with the 2k3 voice. A lot depends on the art style of the comic. |

While I don't imagine a theme at all because I just jump straight into reading...I do have a strong association of The Long Song from Doctor Who with IDW.
It feels very strongly with the ever-important reincarnation elements. But it especially feels "right" for the post-50 arch where Saki is concerned, and Kistune's plot for him. It's more of a motif than a theme opener.

When I read Mirage, things usually open with a crack of thunder in my mind, rather than music. As for music? Probably Mononoke Dance from Hakaba Kitaro as the theme.
Bands such as Alien Ant Farm, Evanescence, Linkin Park, etc come to mind with IDW. Last edited by miru; 09-18-2018 at 07:49 PM. |
