Dynamite Kid has passed away
Quote:
He was Chris Benoit's hero... which is kinda scary considering the kind of person Dynamite was. And we all know what Benoit turned out to be as well. PS: I know it was 2 days ago but only heard it now myself. |

I don't watch professional wrestling so I didn't know who he was until now.

I think he was just commenting on the fact that he (like many who don't follow wrestling) had no idea who he was. Neither did I until the British Bulldogs were mentioned. And I barely knew of them. Not everyone knows who every celeb who dies was. Give the guy some slack here.
In other news, RIP.

Didn't notice the edit, as it was already done when I read the post, but I get where he was coming from either way. I don't follow wrestling either, so until I saw the Bulldogs moniker, I had never even heard the name. Some of these threads get made without any real perspective on who the subjects were, so people can get confused when seeing a name they have no knowledge of. Doesn't mean they don't care that someone passed, just that they don't have any point of reference.

Regardless, by all accounts the world is a better place for his passing.
If you felt the Earth move at all on Wednesday, that was from just about everyone who knew him in life simultaneously doing a jig in celebration of him being gone. He'll be remembered as an exceptional athlete - briefly - and as one of the most rotten sons of bitches ever to walk the Earth. I wonder if his immortal quote of, "Sure, I often taunted my wife with a gun, but it was never loaded" would make a fitting epitaph? It is what it is.

He also used to throw lit cigarettes into the bag holding Jake "The Snake" Roberts' python Damien, and poke it with steroid needles. He also did the latter to the British Bulldogs' mascot, a literal bulldog named Matilda. He'd taunt his wife with a gun if she ever talked about leaving him, and often held the barrel under her chin as she slept. He was highly insecure about his wife having more education than he did, so he used that as a basis for abuse, since all he ever did was wrestle since he was a teenager, until he blew his back out in an illegal fight club type situation and ended up in a wheelchair.
There's a ton more, but that's plenty. He's the poster boy for "Pro Wrestlers Are Terrible Human Beings". He was also Chris Benoit's idol and hero, and we all know how THAT story ended. To this day, nobody can understand what made 10-year old Chris think THAT piece of sh*t was any kind of hero, but it says a lot about why he himself later went nuts and... well, you know. Lots of lessons in here about priorities and all that. Some people are sad he's dead because he had an awesome suplex, but I don't really think that's worth remembering compared to everything else.

Hence why I didn't leave a RIP for him. I'm not happy about his death but can't say I'm too saddened either. He was not a good person and even himself admitted to it.
