New TMNT IDW-based Board Game Coming Out

Just woke up to this news this morning:

https://movieweb.com/amp/teenage-mut...tabletop-game/

Thoughts?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum to post about this: I just figured since it's relevant to the IDW comics...

It's more Shadows of the Past 2.0 than it is a new game.

Long story short, development issues caused them to either march ahead without the ability to reprint the original base game or "reboot" the game while making some tweaks. So, it's 95 percent SotP gameplay - but all the missions are new. Plus, this version will have new characters, variants, solo mode, and a new card-based initiative system to quicken up gameplay.

Does it suck the $200 Kickstarter Deluxe version is now basically a write-off? Not really. As I said, its backwards compatible and the reboot gives a wealth of new content.

I'm just happy the game is getting a second chance. After a long year of nothing I was worried it was shelved for good.
