I don't want to get my hopes up until it actually happens.

The game could suck ass for all I care. What really got me was Ramis and Akroyd are going to write for the game, and it takes place in the 90's after ghostbusters 2!!!!!!
Variety has a pic of slimer:

I glanced through the Game Informer today. What I saw definitely looked interestign to say the least.

Some more screens here.

It ain't gonna win any awards in the graphics department, but damn it, it's Ghostbusters. Nice to hear about the co-op mode too, I'm keeping my eye on this.

Gameplay footage

Looks great!

Official site

Looks like you play as a new recruit being trained by the Ghostbusters.

One question, if it's about a new recruit, why are all of the shots of things from the first movie?

Hm, don't know. Maybe flash backs? Old ghosts released and you have to round them up again? Or maybe you get pulled into an interdimentional rip and get sent back in time?

I kinda wondered the same thing Peanut. Slimer's gonna be in it like he was in GB2 in my opinion, but Stay Puft? We'll see...

Didn't the cartoon kind of do the same thing? I guess they're just using Slimer and Stay-Puft etc. because they are iconic.

The game seems cool enough, but I'm very disappointed they couldn't have got the sequal to work. Even as a CGI DTV movie, I was really pulling for this.

There will be NO GB 3 as far as we know right now. Bill Murray doesn't want to do it, yet he's fine with doing voice overs. Who knows. We have been talking about this over at www.bluesbrotherscentral.com under Ghostbusters. Check it out.

Thats exactly right....everyone has been talking about the game over at Ghostbusters.net and someone uploaded the 'Game Informer' article pages....where it says something happens which releases a bunch of ghosts upon the world, including some from the past.

Got my Game Informer in the mail a few days ago. BEST MAGAZINE COVER EVER!

Hopefully it will redeem the franchise from all the previous bad games.

With "Ghostbusters" getting a video game, "Back to the Future" can't be far behind.

Sure it can, because no one cares about Back to the Future anymore, and it would make for a terrible videogame in the first place.
