We're getting a Fred Wolf universe version of THE PANTHEON. God, I love how nutty SMA is getting.

IDW's big TMNT push is making me want to collect again. I'm locked in for the relaunch #1 and the anniversary one-shot, but I'm undecided on black, white and green.

Hello, I am also excited we are getting Pantheon in TMNT 1987 universe, I also think they might be based on IDW comic book version and I am also excited for TMNT 40th anniversary special

The original cartoon comic feels like it's doing the same thing Archie Adventures did. Started off as a close adaption of the series but now is quickly becoming its own thing.

It will still be in same continuity as cartoon but Archie comics never was in continuity with this cartoon I believe

Pretty sure they're going to use completely different characters for the Patheon here. They're not going to use Kitsune, Aka, Toad Baron, etc. that have no real place here.

I understand that but it’s part of the fun of these books.

The only problem with the new #1 is it's starting off with yet ANOTHER, "The Turtles have all split up and need to be reunited after going their separate ways" story AGAIN. This like the 5th or 6th time they've done this in IDW, it just happened with Sophie's run like two times lol

Agreed, I love seeing the different styles whether arc to arc or issue to issue.

I just think a quick fix to the face shape would do wonders here and wanted to make sure that was heard.

On the cover we can see Scratch, Jagwar, Manmont, Aka and Gothano (most likely).

Manmoth's trunk doesn't look furry at all, though. It looks more like a modern Elephant's. Doctor El, maybe?

Well he has toy release in 1992 but he never appeared in cartoon so it could be him and maybe also King Lionheart will appear but on cover it looks like Jagwar will appear, Gothano also because we see some tentacles on cover for issue 15

But if you look on cover more carefully you can see some sharp parts near trunk which mammoths have so it could be Manmonth, who knows, maybe it is him, we will see in July, by the way I am really excited because characters from other TMNT media will appear in TMNT 1987 continuity

So I am not sure how possible this is but imagine if TMNT compare Doctor EL (possibly because we are not sure is that him on cover) to some other elephants from movies and shows if authors can use names of this characters in this comic like Tantor from Tarzan and maybe others

Based on this covers some of them might be original characters and some of them might be existing characters that have counterparts in TMNT IDW universe with Doctor EL appearing, he is only a toy and never appeared in cartoon so this is chance to having him appear in this continuity we don't know is that him on cover but it could be, we will see

Why do you think Pantheon might recruit TMNT? Just curious what do you guys think?
