Hi,
just wanted to let anyone who's interested know that I've posted a new story (super short, under 500 words) It's pretty dark and definitely rated M, due to the subject matter and content. No tcest. Just plenty of angst.

I couldn't sleep last night and couldn't get the song, The Boxer out of my head. Simon and Garfunkel originally wrote and played it, but there's a new version with the lead singer from Mumford and Sons singing it and it's positively haunting. Then this story emerged and wouldn't let me sleep til I ran downstairs and typed it up.

Anyone else get like that? Why is it that my muse waits til I'm comfy and cozy in bed before pouncing ideas on me?

Been there, LOL. Sometimes an idea for a great idea happens just before I go to bed or just when I get up, and I have to write it down somewhere. I had to place a small notebook and pen at my nightstand because of it. The reason those ideas happen is because your brain uses different pathways and the brain feels "less pressured" and not using the "flight and fight" system as much. Interesting! And so true, whenever I "zone out" if I'm doing repetitive stuff at work and my mind starts to wander, I get plot bunnies then, too. It's just annoying once I'm just about to doze off that a story comes pounding into my skull and I swear, if I don't get up and write it down I'm left with just bits of shadows from the notion in the morning.

Okay, so I finished The Tender Trap and am planning a sequel, but in the meantime I'm working on a short story featuring a little romance for our guy in orange, titled Mikey's Girl.

It is set a year after the events of Tender Trap and everyone is still affected by what had happened including Donnie reactions to April getting engaged to Casey.

It isn't the official sequel but more like an interlude. Anyway, I'd sure like some reviews, lol!
