Anybody else getting absolutely brutalized by pollen this year?

It's never been worse in my neck of the woods. I'm in the southeast US, & things have been painted crayon yellow since early February! Literally every single day, without fail, I get a killer sinus headache. It's really getting to my family too, even the dog is sneezing more often. Mad hard to focus when the front of your face aches, & OTC meds don't always cut it, either. Bluh. I can deal with the stuffy nose, the itchy eyes, etc, but the brain pain's really got me on edge.

I guess this isn't entirely thread worthy but I am curious if dromies in other parts of the states are getting it as badly. Whine with me.

I haven't been affected by the recent surge of pollen, but my brother was.

He had a seizure last week. The doctor said that the pollen must have caused the seizure.

He's okay now, but I'm worried about his safety.

Fortunately I've never really had allergy issues, but given the intermittent warm-ups we've had in the east, and I'm sure all the warmer in the south end, I'm not surprised. Might it make the pollen season longer if some things bloom early? Rather than blooming alongside their allergen co-conspirators.

Our early plants, like the daffodils, were already up before we got hit with that snow storm early last week. Some cherry trees in the area were already trying to open as well. I can only imagine how far into spring the south must already be.

Oh yeah, my "allergies" are pretty stupid this year. I blame the repeated thaws.

Man, my car is a brilliant shade of green and my nose and throat are a mess...I hate pollen.

My mother has oak trees surrounding her house, so of course they get super-polleny during the springtime. Trees that are all getting "too old" and might have to be cut down sometime in the next few years.

And now that there's have a hawk family living in those trees, certain other things end up on the cars too.

Luckily we had a terrible drought her and most of the stuff in my area didn't make flowers this year. The only thing that gives me fits is pine tree pollen and its a bit early for that yet. They may not bloom either.

Yeah, my nose was stuff and running yesterday so it had to be the pollen for sure. We had temps in the seventies at our place and now it's in the forties and cold. Weather is weird.

Years ago, I was very affected by pollen allergy, started at the beginning of the spring, ongoing for about 6-8 weeks. Birch pollen is very bad & oozy stuff (at least in Germany, do not know what is going on in overseas). In my case: Extreme sneezing, clogged nose, watering eyes.
I think, not the pollen has become worse, but the human being has moved farther and farther away from nature, nature becomes more and more alien to a large part of mankind, and thus also the pollen.
This and last year, it got better, no complaints until today. Why? The specific pollen certainly did not stop flying. Has my body learned to deal with it? Maybe, and I assume my solution is holistic and depends on many mosaics: Drink lots of water instead of chemical sugar water, strengthen the immune system through proper diet and exercise instead of weakening myself by smoking cigarettes and having pancakes for breakfast. Try to escape Smog City for a certain time. Frequently. Only in the long run, this could be effective in many ways. Salvation to all of you!

We're still having snow and mess up here in NH. But once the trees open up, everything will be Yellow. The Pine trees give off pollen in thick clouds.

I had a few rough days this summer. I'm being treated for grass pollen, so it's been manageable overall, but I still get messed up by the trees.
