That explains a lot, most of the budget on this show was on Lockjaw.

For the 3 seconds of screen/time he got, Lockjaw was definitely the stand-out.
He was the only one (besides Medusa, a little) that really looks like the character. Without their flashy costumes these Inhumans look really lame. And you can't tell who's who.

Not many stories they could tell with these guys too. So it'll bomb. That's obvious.

In a piece titled "What did Marvel look for in Inhumans? Fast and cheap" over at CNet, the director says he was chosen because Marvel, well, wanted someone who was fast and could make a show like this for very little money. "I think they liked me for the job because I was able with my action movies to shoot in a very short time, or with very low budgets, action that looks like a big-budget movie."

"The schedule was super-tight. I had TV schedule time to shoot it with Imax cameras, 20 days to shoot two episodes. It’s nerve-wracking but I come from a low-budget film world, so 20 days for me is luxury," Reiné continued and appeared to then shift the blame to interfering Marvel TV executives.

"There was always a Marvel executive around me, just to make sure that whatever I did, or whatever we did together, would tie in with other characters in other universes, in other comics, in other series or movies," the director explains. "They’re very protective. These people are very passionate about their product and about characters and about doing the best version of everything."

This explains why the quality of the show looks so cheap and poorly made.

The bigger question is, WHY did they want it done "cheaply and quickly" and WHO thought that would work out for them?

mostly the more hardcore fans that's been waiting for an MCU Inhumans, they are gonna be so disappointed when they ended up with.

To think that the Inhumans were originally sold as their "x-men" and had their movie lined up in phase 3 and would've been in Infinity War.

Maybe this show is the best that could've happened to the MCU, leave the Inhumans in their place.

Well, "Inhumans the MCU Movie" was still going to take place after Avengers 3/4, according to the old schedules. But yeah, they would not fit in at all. Avengers + Guardians of the Galaxy is crammed full enough!
